So it didn’t go well huh?
books like Demon annual 2 in VF condition is not getting anyone excited.
Ugh…I loath when people use two pieces of tape to seal a bag. Especially when they tape it sideways leaving you with little room to pry the flap up to get under the tape…ends up stretching the flap and ruining the bag.
Not a MCS rant…just reminds me of how MCS tapes up books…I’m ruining new bags…
Why do you need two pieces of tape??!! And why sideways??!!! Extra work to seal, and extra work to open…
And they raised the prices on Death of Silver Surfer #1. Now $6 for a fine copy. lol
yeah i had one in my cart, just kinda campign with it and noticed. Pshhh
So mycomicshop is having their pathetic attempt at a black friday/cyber monday/thanksgiving sale but there are some books that might be worth grabbing with the small discount and the potential the books have based on the title and/or artist:

Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting my Suspiria Crow Flesh And Blood Cvr A or her Penthouse Comics 2025 Cvr E. MCS just canceled both today.
Because neither book exists. Can’t ship something that never was printed.
I did get all 3 volumes of The Boys Oversized Hardcover Omnibus for less than $120 total.
I was checking every few minutes as I wanted to snag another copy (I have one pre-ordered).
All the other issues showed up…not sure if this variant ever did…or if they’re holding them back to mark up the price
I’ve noticed a few times where they hold back books the day of release and have it available the following day, albeit at a higher price…
Was this made available on their site? Looking for this too…
They had cover B up for $15 and sold out…
anyone every use them for consignment? was thinking about sending them some stuff to sell for me. slabs
Commission
You pay nothing out of pocket, only a commission when your item sells:
- Buy It Now Available to all CGC, CBCS, or PSA graded comics, as well as unslabbed comics valued approximately $50 or more
- 10% commission on sales up to $300, 8% on portion beyond $300
- Minimum commission $5 for slabbed comics
- Minimum commission $7 for unslabbed comics, art, and non-comic items
Requesting return of your consignments
It is rare that a consignor requests that an item be returned, but there is no minimum time commitment required. Unsold consignments that are not part of auctions already in progress may be returned to you upon request. Your account will be charged return shipping cost plus $2 per item for slabbed comics and $4 per item for raw comics and non-comic items.

I thought about it…but there are a lot of “rules.” And I thought if it doesn’t sell within a certain time period (a year) they start charging a fee…but I don’t see that now.
I was thinking about it for listing books that had values above $200 as I was concerned about getting scammed…and figured selling through MCS was a means to add a layer of protection from fraud (they would deal with any problems). But in the end I only had 2-3 slabs I would have listed…and just sold them on eBay and it was fine.
Haven’t thought about it since.
