Is that a new high for MCS scalping on first day?

That might be the biggest initial markup I’ve ever seen from them for an open order.

I wonder how many online shops are going to claim short. It’s always the hot book that the distributors can’t seem to deliver…

And people paid it.

So you can’t say they priced themselves out…

Day zero. Day one is tomorrow. Initially I am like “f that s” but with prices pushing $60 that could end up being a deal. But on principle “f that s”.

And… sold out.

Sold out very quick. Online around 5:35. I noticed it was sold out at 6:05….but could have been way sooner.

The fact that people gobbled them up despite a clear cash grab by MCS tells me it’s not close to being done yet.

Expect many shops to hold back copies, causing even more scarcity and demand. Even taking copies out of customers pull boxes…

I feel like MCS has withheld and loaded more copies later a couple times in the past. Am I misremembering? Just wondering if that might happen since they took a big swing today.

You are not misremembering.

When Punchline came out (Batman #89) it kept selling out and returning at a higher price moments later.

That either is in this thread, or was the start of this thread.

Looking back I dont see it here. Thread started as how they were charging outrageous shipping costs and then shipping using discounted services.

Better than current BINs.

Conforms the holding back of copies though.

It’ll be interesting to see if it shows up again…
