In the Phoenix event in Avengers earlier this year they revealed that the Phoenix is actually Thor’s mom.

I honestly haven’t really been reading Jason Aaron’s run on Avengers. I tried that Moon Knight arc and it was pretty bad.
The thing is retcons always happen so stuff can be changed or unchanged. I’m not reading thor or avengers so I’m not sure if the Thors mom phoenix thing is even mentioned in Thor. Plus Aaron and Cates are always retconning stuff in their runs
It’s not mentioned in Cates Thor run yet. Oof, I was gonna mention another past comic that alluded to the Phoenix being Thor’s mom as well, but it was also written by Aaron (Generations: The unworthy thor and the mighty Thor (2017)). So I guess he’s been pushing the Phoenix being his mom for a bit now.
