Nice pickup and great price. I’ve got a few complete sets in newsstand minus an issue or two. I’m missing a newsstand of #133 and yours is the second I’ve seen in 2-3 years. I almost exclusively shop online so.
I’m also a huge fan of Morrison’s run as well. I’d say it’s the best run on X-Men followed by Claremont and Hickman. Though I’ve only read a bit of Hickmans run.
Got these from a lil online honeyhole I order from comics are a $1 each. Grabbed some E.Larsen & McFarlane Spiderman. And scooped up Avengers #9 for 1st appearance of American Kaiju since hes appearing in Planet of symbiotes. I see this pattern of old characters appearing and FOMO setting in for people tryna grab 1st appearance possible flip have another comin in another order.
I need to find some of these smaller online places with old star wars stuff in stock so I can finish my collection before more random disney+ spec!
I’m a fan of American Kaiju getting more love. Do I think it’s great long term? Nope. But like you said people are bound to look for the first appearance once he shows up vs Knull.
You’d dig a shop I hit today in the Minneapolis area that had 50% off all back issues. Picked up about 30 books, but 20 were Star Wars. No keys, but a bunch of KOTOR and Dark Horse issues. Most were $1.50-$2.00. Had a couple long boxes of SW.
The amount of times people mention “oh so and so in the other building used to have a couple boxes of this old star wars key comic no idea where they went” makes me sad-laugh.
I Believe Avengers #0 is all previews of upcoming books. So it’s a preview compared to a first full and cover.
I need to dig it out but I think it explains his history, shows him, and gives his name.
It maybe a new story type preview instead of what may have been presented in the books they previewed. If that makes sense.
