Todd’s Pickups and Sales Thread

@Devildog @ToddW
Do either of you happen to know what this is? It mentions Signature edition and cover on the plastic bag just says “Variant”
I believe that I got it at NYCC many years ago when Beagle was there as an attendee.
Since you were both mentioning it, I thought I’d ask.

According to the cover it’s one of the retailer incentive covers. I’ve never seen that version but I’ve only recently started looking for them. Really nice find.

Just finished reading the first arc of Stillwater, really good. Has a Stephen King feel to it.

Todd have you read the first arc of We Live? I thought it was really great and I see it’s heating up on ebay.
Might be worth picking up since it’s still cheap and it’s getting good word of mouth and organic growth.

Yeaaa… he had them sitting on his table in Artists Alley. I hadn’t yet read the series, but I knew he was a somewhat famous writer.

I picked up the first issue but haven’t read any of We Live yet.

It’s not even listed at comic price guide either. I’m very jealous. lol. Comic book realm doesn’t have it listed either.

@Bill Beautiful book! Last Unicorn is an amazing story.
Beagle is getting up there in age as well.
It’s funny as his book and the film gave always been a bit more mainstream than the comics. I don’t know that many of the fans realize there was a comic adaptation in some cases.
Thanks for sharing that! I’m quite jealous!

I remember going to every LCS in NYC searching around for Hush issues. That was a good storyline for spec at that time. Nice pickup!

I’m slowly putting together a newsstand run of Jim Lees Batman and Superman issues. I actually haven’t read it yet but it’s on my ever expanding list of books to read.

Have them re-invest in a CGC 9.8 (and still have a few bucks left over)

Witchblade #10 Newsstand Edition is a book I’ll buy all day as long as the condition and price are right. I wanna say I have a half dozen already. I’ve sold a few for amazing profits as well. This has got the artwork of the late and great Michael Turner. As well the first appearance of Jackie Estacado AKA The Darkness. No Not the band. How is this not a movie or series already? I mean two video games but the premise and characters would adapt to other media quite well.

Paid: $24.90 including shipping.

I own a few raw copies of this book already including a beautiful Newsstand Edition. My first graded copy though it’s a lowly Direct Edition. This I believe is the old PGX label and it’s the Dynamic Forces Variant Signed by Jeph Loeb. First appearance of Supergirl.

Superman/Batman #8 PGX 9.2 Paid: $25 including shipping.
