Tuesday night spoiler request

He may not have been a great writer but I love his art. Not necessarily fine art but his style was so dynamic.

Amen to that
 and 100% agreed. Iconic

True, but he did a pretty decent job coming up with the plots, that’s where he had Lee and others come in to fill in the narrative and dialogue for sure.

But that’s why I always give credit to the artists who can also write as well. Chip Zdarsky is one of those people and it seems he does more writing now than art. Most might not like his art but Jeff Lemire is another I think does this very well.

Yup - W. Simonson as well

Lemire is one of my favorite creators. I dig his writing, art, and stuff he writes/draws.

Lemire’s Underwater Welder was one of the best written comic/novel I’ve read in a long long long time. It’s the search for comics/books like these that keep me wanting to read comics (I’m looking at you Marvel / DC with your mass produced junk written by a child)

Will check it out, please message me if there is something specific you think I should capture out of it

I did PRH this weekend, my Lunar got delayed until today.

My two biggest takeaways:

  1. Imperial #2 - All the fleets attack Wakanda Prime, Black Panther uses the vibranium moon to magnify a weapon to disable 70% of the ships, crews on the ships reveal themselves as Skrulls and one strikes down M’baku from behind. On Xandra’s flagship, the “Skrulls” are revealed to be Shi’ar Hobgoblins led by D’Ken. They blow up the stargate trapping all the fleets around Wakanda Prime and stage a coup. Shadowy figure behind everything talks about gamepieces on the board suggesting Grandmaster is behind it.

  2. Predator vs Spiderman 4 - Skinner takes out one of the hunters while Spiderman occupies the other 3. Skinner goes to destry their ship to trap them on earth and stopped by Kraven. They face off and Kraven decapitates him. His wrist bomb starts counting down and Kraven cuts the arm off and gives it to Spiderman to take to the river to detonate. Bomb blows. Predator Hunter faces Kraven and beats him. Marks him with Skinners mark and releases him. Spidey survives the blast and Kraven goes to outer space joining the predators.

I’m curious if Star Trek Red Shirts will be good. Wouldn’t doubt if the ratio cover does well.

It’s a good story - not a single name character in it. It’s a group of red shirts sent to do a covert mission that’s about to go horribly wrong. A and B covers are both solid, but the ratio is spectacular. There’s a Suspiria incentive coming for issue 3

I haven’t read a Star Trek comic since the City in the Edge of Forever original screen play was adapted into a miniseries about 10 years ago. But this one has my attention.

I haven’t read a Star Trek comic besides some crossovers with stuff I do read. This series looks fun tho.

Issue 10 doesn’t look like a key.
