Time for a reboot.
I think it was known that it was ending. Was just an extended limited series done in real time. Thats when the Maker comes back.

Two scenarios:
Big epic fight in the mini-series and the books reboot. Likely.
The latest Ultimate Universe actually ends even tho it is a hit and making money. Unlikely and ballsy if it happens. Maybe some characters spin-off back to the regular Marvel Universe.
I am thinking the maker comes back. Big fight ensues. And the Ultimate Universe ends as we know it but continues.
So, like every other Marvel event nothing will ever be the same until everything‘s the same?
No… Honestly it was the only marvel series that I’m reading. I just don’t know any ongoing from Marvel that I feel is worth reading consistently…dam.

Same for me until Zdarsky took on Cap.
Zdarsky has never made a terrible comic that I can recall. Even Morrison has a stinker or two. Astounding.
Try reading the current run of Batman.
Jeph Loeb is on that now. Jim Lee’s art is great but the story is a hot mess.
