I’m curious as to why you went with Villain Gaming for a name?
Well…I love board games, TCG’s, video games, etc… The original idea was that eventually I would open a store and have all these things in there. So, thats the gaming part…the Villain part came from me just being the natural villain in everything I do. Every game I play, everyone eventually is going against me, even if its a game where everyone is for themselves. At my job, I blow things up…always questioning and trying to change things for the better…which also makes me a villain of sorts, because people don’t like change.
Somehow, during this time, I got into comics and started reading a lot during the pandemic…opened the store just as a hobby, wanting to get access to cheap comics, and it is also much easier to mass post things on ebay. I remember telling my brother that I was selling around $25 to $50 a day on ebay (which I thought was awesome!).
The hobby has consumed my home and a storage unit…thousands and thousands of comics, shipping / packing supplies, and I’ve learned a lot (mainly from you all). Now, my goal is to own a warehouse where my family can read, hang out, play card/board games, and if people want to stop by, that would be cool too! If my kids choose to throw it all in the garbage, whatever, I won’t be here to stop them…but I can tell you they really enjoy it, even though they are only 8.
My dad wrote me a passage in a book he gave me, Nolan Ryan’s biography (favorite baseball player), and the quote that stood out was “Something all great people have in common is that they enjoy reading.”
TLDR: I’m a villain and I like gaming

The local table top game store gave out a pokemon card to every kid who walked by their table. Thought that was really cool

If you are looking to do an FOC order, please note that Diamond’s servers are still down and we weren’t able to get the titles posted from them. Only thing on FOC right now on the site are DC and Marvel. No clue when Diamond is estimating to be up and running again.

Welp…Diamond sent us an excel file with the product code, title, and cost…I have no cover information, descriptions, or anything else. So basically everything you see with our logo is something from Diamond, and you will have to double check somewhere else for what the cover looks like unless they can get everything up and running again…because the file I work with usually pings a web address to download the cover photo.

Diamond is really having a bad month between this and the, “Primordial,” cover slip-up.
Yeah it’s a mess, if they don’t get it fixed I wonder how they are going to process all these excel files….
OoOoOo Diamond back up and running…just sent an update through to hopefully get those covers right.
Gonna have to hire one of those excel wizards… I once learned way too much excel wizardry… it was horrible. The people who do that full time must hate their own life. I got to a point if I had to deal with Excel as a full time job, I would just ease my pain and suffering with a single bullet to the head…
