According to CGC’s standards, if Crain took a shit on the cover and smeared it all over and called it art, they’d still grade it since you know, the artist created it.

CHU and CGC forums super entertaining the last 2 days. I don’t do social media but I imagine an atom bomb just went off. I’m glad these shady influencers and CGC are getting exposed. Sadly that (non) response by CGC was exactly what I expected from them.

The way that no one involved in this thought that nothing about this situation was wrong shows you that they feel that they at a point where they are untouchable and can do what ever they want. Just by the comment above that gem mint made shows that a lot of these people are getting reality checks and and that maybe their poo does stink. Cgc has been doing shady dealings for a long time.

Someone posted on Facebook that Crain is part owner of Black Flag. Which makes sense that Black Flag always has his variants and exclusives.
I wonder if that is true. He used to do a bunch of Frankie’s exclusives.

All my comic book youtube feeds have been absent today. There was a lot of talk yesterday about the c2e2 disaster but today nothing from my feeds. Figures as a lot of these “influencers” are friends with each other and don’t want to talk poorly of their behavior. I also find it fascinating that none of them on my feeds have pointed out cgc’s ridiculous official statements from today.
Even Tales From the Flipside had to start off their show by saying that a lot of people are going to be angry with what they have to say. Already hedging before they start their show.
Lost a lot of respect for some of these guys. They even mentioned that when Nico had the CGC guys on their show for an interview in the past, he did not ask CGC any tough questions because he was afraid CGC would be spiteful and give him lower grades for his submissions.
We have a serious problem in this industry and this C2E2 fiasco is just the tip of the iceberg. Shit really hit the fan wow.

Mike is an old time board member (comicdonna) over there who stepped in to help CGC with their lack/mess of moderation over there. They used to have dedicated paid moderators, then they relied on volunteers, which was a thankless job.
Pretty sure he sees how ridiculous this all is and figured there’d be more notifications.
If someone actually believes this is true/possible, then they are saying cgc has no integrity. So then why would one continue to do business with them?
CGC is not the problem in that scenario.
