I can’t get into Maer’s art… I just have this feeling he’s got models posing in the outfits he snaps and then he digitizes them to pass as his own… it’s too posey and too computery for me…

That Frankie’s comic Miles basketball one making cbsi top ten list. Am I the only one who feels like store exclusives shouldn’t count for those types of lists because there’s already rarity and a higher value of them out the gate

Just to play devil’s advocate… couldn’t you say the same thing about ratio variants, retailer summit exclusives, con exclusives, etc.? It’s already an arbitrary list as it is…

Fair, but there’s also not much of a chance of a publisher paying to be included on the list. I could totally see some stores greasing the palms of spec vloggers and bloggers to be included.
I will say our palms are 100% greaseless here. The only time we spotlight a store variant is if copies are being sent to us as a giveaway. At that point we talk about the cover being for sale and not saying “you need to buy this”. After that we run a giveaway and a follow up winner announcement. All in all not a bad way to get your variant mentioned three times without having to grease the palms.

The great thing with this forum topic is that 373 posts into this, I still do hate Store Variants and there are no Buts. I do laugh though sometimes!
