We all hate store variants but

Remember when a majority of the comic community didn’t really care about Miles and we never really got variants featuring Miles

I bought one because I’m a sucker for Akira homages. I’m really surprised the Seven Secrets 1 Frany never took off. Of course nothing is going to match the Bitter Root one.

I’m just genuinely confused at the audience for all of the basketball and wrestling Spider-Man/Venom covers.

I love basketball and I’m not buying any of them.

WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS is capturing the imagination of STAR WARS and comic fans. I couldn’t resist one more classic homage to a key STAR WARS cover that’s near and dear to my heart. I first experienced THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK at a newsstand in Walgreens looking at Marvel Comics Official Movie Adaptation, with art by the legendary Al Williamson. To me, it was the ultimate portrayal of a cinematic STAR WARS story on paper. The adaptation was also serialized in the main STAR WARS title and issue #42 featured the first appearance of the notorious Boba Fett.

Pre-sales for the STAR WARS #14 Mike Mayhew Studio Variant Cover begin Friday, May 28th at 9 am PST / 12 pm EST at www.mikemayhewstudio.com

Cover A Trade Dress: $25

With Signature and COA: $35

Set with Cover A Trade Dress and Cover B Virgin: $60

With Signature and COA: $70

Thanks for your attention!

Sincere gratitude for your support!!

Mike Mayhew has been producing some pretty beautiful homages to now-classic Star Wars covers from the original Marvel 1977 run.

I dont know if its an unpopular opinion but I’ve always thought that Boba cover wasn’t great. Boba just standing there awkwardly . The homage looks terrible . CANT WAIT FOR THE SHADOW VERSION

The Star Wars ones are kinda cool, pity I don’t buy store variants anymore.

I’m about as big of a basketball fan as I am a comic fan. And I was a HUGE Jordan fan back in the day. AND I’m a wrestling fan (although more past than present). I’m not buying any, either. So is their audience just totally speculators who think “People that like basketball and wrestling will HAVE to get these!”? Who knows.

So now places are doing store variants for trade paperbacks? I’ve seen like 4 different shops post about them these few days

Image has had this going on for a while. Third Eye did one for Dept of Truth that goes for good money.

If shops are doing exclusives for the 4th print, print run is gonna be massive compared to the previous printings of #1.

Alright I do really like that cover (not enough to buy it) but do stores still have to absolutely kill all spec of any hot books nowadays?
