Welcome to Derry=Amazing

Anyone else enjoying Welcome to Derry?
Absolutely incredible…the last episode just wow!

As a very long time fan of “IT” (read it way back in high school) as well as all things Stephen King related, they have done an incredible job of tying
so many things together.

The nit picky folks who treat books as gospel can of course argue over some inconsistencies but whatever.

Anyway…my highest recommendation. Series finale is Sunday (with two more seasons to go).

I think Bill Skarrsgard who plays Pennywise deserves an Emmy.

Yes. I am watching it. I watched the latest episode the other day while my wife was in the room and she didn’t realize it was a show. She went back and watched all the episodes with me.

The season has gotten better with each episode. I really enjoy the buildup and gore. It looks like Pennywise is going to go off the hinges next episode. Can’t wait!

I likenit alot as well

definitely enjoying it

Do you need to watch the new IT movies before watching this or is the original IT mini series enough to follow what’s going on?

I agree, it’s a great show.

Doesn’t matter. Gives you the history of It and Derry without merging the stories. I mean they are linked but you don’t need to watch either of the others to enjoy it.

Can’t do clowns. But I guess that’s the point, isn’t it!

Yeah, clowns freak me out too, even the happy ones are just creepy.

Phobias are a weird thing. Clowns don’t bother me in the least but I’m incredibly scared of wasps cause they’re just hideous horrible insects that need to be destroyed. My instinct if I see one flying around is to go in the opposite direction as fast as possible. The only time I ever actually went toward a wasp was when one was near one of my children and I was going to override my natural instinct to be terrified if I had to swat it to keep my kiddo safe. Meanwhile, my wife doesn’t really care about wasps but show her a snake and oh boy.

I’ve never even been stung by a wasp. They just terrify me. I’ve even been stung by a bee and had to dig the stinger out and it wasn’t a big deal. I don’t know why wasps trigger me.

Same.

Id face a pride of Lions out on the serengheti than have to deal with a nest of yellow jackets or murder hornets

At least one is quick

I have been stung by a wasp. On my knee cap and in my forehead. It’s not terrible or the end of the world. But I will kill a ■■■■■■■■■■■■ to get away from a spider.

Snakes are awesome. I’ll catch them and save them when I find them around the neighborhood or yard. Even caught poisonous ones too to save in the past. Wasps I’m not scared of but I don’t like them though, been stung plenty of times. Bees I love, I’ll let them land on me if they want to hang.

I use to think spiders are creepy but I save them too. And the small furry ones are so dang cute, one was living in my bathroom for like 3-4 months at one point. I named him George but then he left or died.

But clowns… and evil little kids are scary too, like dolls, kind of creepy.

I’ve never seen the movies….so I’m curious what it might be like starting with this series and moving forward.

Kind of line watching the Star Wars movies, machete order without spoilers.

Considering it…(pun intended).

You could watch the story and then watch the movies. This takes place ten years or so before the time period of the movies.

This also makes other King movies you very likely have seen, become much more relevant. There are Easter eggs everywhere for the King fan.

Definitely loved Welcome to Derry. Looking forward to future episodes.

Am I selfish to wish someone in my lifetime can build a coherent Stephen King Universe?!

Imagine Roland skipping through futures/past times to put a bullet through Pennywise!? It’s Ka.
