Hello all…I have posted a couple of times, but am new to “interacting” here. My question is related to the comments in the Venom post about a potential downturn in the economy, and possibly, comics. I had stepped away from comics before the collapse in the 90’s, and am curious to know what collectors/flippers did during that time period. Did you just stockpile what you felt were “keys” and just purchase those, or did you continue to actually do business as usual? I was just contemplating what were to happen if that occurs again.
I bought collections. My two lcs went out of business. People my age were looking at selling collections for as money. I picked up multiple ASM 300-361 plus NM98. I probably flipped about 10 copies before i started the site. Still have two NM 98’s from that time.
