What music are you listening to?

I’m all about some Bilmuri right now. I don’t even know how to begin to describe it, and even if I was successful with one album, each one of those is even different sounding.

Welp, I think Janes Addiction is officially done…

Wow. Looks like he will have to revive Porno for Pyros again

That would be wild, since PFP just did their alleged “farewell” tour. He was probably banking on Jane’s taking him through the rest of his career. :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: I hope he gets the help he needs.

I recently discovered Ren. I’m completely obsessed and can’t get enough. Hi Ren, Jenny, Screech and Violets Tale are instant classics. The YouTube videos are a must watch as they’re done in one take. At least Hi Ren was.

I like Ren. I have seen his videos before.

Just FYI Ren is anemic or something. It’s really held him back but he is super talented.

I believe he was misdiagnosed, ended up having Lyme disease. And if you like hip hop or talent you should give him a listen. I’m honestly obsessed at this point.

I’m getting the feeling Pavarotti is not actually dead; and this is his new gig.

Maybe a bit old school but Gordon Lightfoot!!

Love the song …and love the band.
Def Leppard is pretty much the key band of my high school days.

Damn does watching this make me feel old, nostalgic, etc…

I’m still obsessed with Ren. His Fire In The Booth showcases several of his talents. I also bought a few of his albums recently. Though my favorite Album Sick Boi is still out of my price range but maybe the best rap/hip hop album ever. If you like the genre definitely check him out.

Added these albums to the collection.

I’ve bought a few more albums/records. Though I need to buy a high quality record player. Any suggestions on quality record players?

If you can find them, Technics were the best but they don’t make them anymore. Audio Technica is what I currently have myself and a Technics (I found off eBay brand new still in the box a few years back). Can’t recall the models, the Audio Technica is direct drive which I recommend and the Technics is belt driven.

Thanks, you’re the second person to mention audio technica so I’m going to check them out.

I’ll third the Audio Technica suggestion. I started collecting albums (mostly to support bands I liked) and hit some critical mass where I thought, ‘well I’d really like to actually listen to these now.’ I looked at a bunch and ended up getting the AT-LP120XBT-USB. I’ve been really happy with it. Very solid construction. The USB connection was nice because I could connect it to my computer and listen through those speakers without anything else. Or I could plug speakers/headphones straight into the turntable.

I ended up paying extra for the BT model which means it also has a bluetooth chip. I might use it eventually since I do have a pair of good wireless headphones, but so far I haven’t and I don’t think I would mind losing that feature since it added about $30 to the price.
