Do you find mid day weekdays is a better slot than evenings and/or weekends? Seems like most of your target audience would (should) be working. I know it’s not ideal for me, anyway.
Just curious if you’ve noticed any trends since you’ve run a few of these now.
I know I’m theoretically missing viewers but I don’t want to compete in an overstuffed time slot with tons of bigger names than me people will watch over lesser-known folks such as myself. There are always people tuning in whether it’s 11AM or 11PM so no matter the time viewers exist and I feel I actually get more in my little slot than trying to compete when 10 other streamers may be going at 5PM. That’s just me, tho.
How in the hell do you search for sellers?. When I do a search it comes up with nothing and comics are not in the category to search?. Also how do you stop following a seller?..I’m on home pc not cell phone. Thanks
I’ll be doing a show at 12 Eastern today as @Anthony mentioned I often do. I’ll tell folks to go to his show once mine wraps. I’ve got some fun stuff today so I’m hoping for a bigger show than some of my smaller ones I’ve run lately. I am the newestrant on Whatnot.
Oh and, @Jim73 I am not sure how to do it on PC but you can usually click a user in your following list and unfolllow them. In the search box on the phone there is an option to search specifically for sellers too. Not sure about computer.
I totally understand! I feel like there’s so many big sellers at night I would have no way of standing out. Although, more and more people are selling so it’s getting a little harder to really draw attention except when I bring the heat with really good books!
I actually prefer the low-key sellers, and try to find people that look like they have decent product but not a lot of people. I guess I don’t need to pay for the show; I’m looking for good deals, and when no one is bidding against you, it sure is easy to spend a lot.
My show was pretty much a disaster yesterday. I got FMV for the big books I had, including the Whatnot Invincible #1 and #2, but the rest of my books didn’t go for much or at all in some cases. I need to just start listing on here.
It is tough for smaller guys to carve a niche. I did have a give away and had 20 people at any given time in the room. Even daytime shows are getting crowded and pushing people out. I had people who bought from me before there, which was good, but it is tough
At least you all sell good books. I’ve noticed more and more shows just selling random, essentially non key books and fodder in their sales. I don’t really get it.
Also a tendency to just continuously load up hundreds of books into the platform so you don’t even really know what they will be selling. It’s just an inventory of books and then you have to either hope one you may want goes up or sit and beg for it to run.
Some of these sellers are going at it every single day (even twice a day).
