It’s really frustrating, because Nauck can do decent covers. Is anyone actually buying these headshot covers?? I feel like they will be dollar bin fodder for years.

CA’s head has gotten too big for the cover…
I like the McKane headshotncovers from a while back. I like the straight forward shots. These angle shots have been kinda bad they all seem off a bit. Caps rocking a size 9 head right there.
I can’t imagine hardly anyone is collecting these, either, but I hope Nauck is making cover rate with them. They’re just boring. I agree with Spidey, the McKone Marvel Value Stamp headshots were a little cooler somehow.

Where to begin? First of all, it looks like Cable is staring down a leaf blower. Second, why does it look like all the guns are being present to us like awards? I don’t gingerly hold a gun in front of my torso like it’s a 36” sub sandwich. Third, why is Cable’s gun solid gold bullion? Fourth, Venompool’s a cone head?
That’s all I’ve got energy for right now, but there is so so so much more worth unpacking.

I have to confess, I really don’t mind Liefeld’s work (I know, I know let the hate mail begin). Maybe it’s the nostalgia of it all…but that cover isn’t all that great.
Are they floating and Cable is standing? I was a big fan of Liefeld in the 90s. Now idk I’m noticing more and more I dont like with his work. This new digital age of sharp lines and colors doesnt help his work imo.

Oh i love this thread 
To me, the eyes can often make or break a cover. Jenny Frison is the current reigning “eyes” champ. Liefeld’s eyes are usually hollow at best.
