Left hand fingers look all mangled and unnatural positioning as well… I mean, I know art is subjective but when you’re not trying to be abstract in your work and when it comes to making hero characters more lifelike… JrJr fails on so many levels… Someone at Marvel needs to grow a pair and just let him go already despite his dad’s legacy at Marvel, probably the only reason this guy even has a job in artwork.
JRJR’s recent covers show he joined the No More Backgrounds Club (Miller, Capullo, Liefeld, sometimes Bagley visits). He threw in some building tops for the big #1000. Paulo Rivera did as nice of job as he could finishing Shrugger-Man.

Did anyone see that Marvel got bullied into changing the A cover for ASM #1000? They’re changing it from the JRJR to Larraz now
Bullied? They should have never considered the JRJr cover from the get go… it’s terrible!

Agreed, and honestly the Larraz one is just kinda ‘meh’ too. Once again, gold stars for the Spidey editorial team!
