2026 Death List

It is predicted that colorectal cancer will be the leading cause of death in people under 50 in the US by 2030. I can’t remember if it is both males and females. I’ll have to check my notes. I just took a CE course on Diet-Cancer links last week. Very informative.

Just had my “procedure” last month. All good.
But I did give it thought about not doing it. - between the “juice”, the headache from not eating, the misery, the IV, and the 1 in 5000 chance the doc punctures the colon (doc’s quote); and one is in serious big trouble.

But after adding it all up, I knew it was worth it and did it for my 2nd time.
More than the right decision but I do hope over time there is a less invasive way of doing this as medical continues to improve.

There is the mail your poop in a box thing out there. But, for high risk individuals, the actual “procedure” is more accurate and necessary.

My cousin had to start real early (mid 20s) because his grandfather died from it. I’ll be joining everyone getting there’s soon.

All the stories coming out about people getting at younger ages is having me paying more attention to my bowel movements than hot books.

Just don’t mix the two (bowel movements & hot books) together :upside_down_face:

I’ve had two procedures…and I just turned 51 and got my noticed it’s been 10 yrs since my last one. It’s old hat for me now. Feels good to get cleaned out once in a while!

My dad has had some serious polyps, but my two were clean. But I need to make the appt.

I think it’s higher in men currently.

It’s early on all the data but I did read that those who eat highly processed meats, particularly deli, the salami and pepperonis, etc pretty much everything you find on a charcuterie board, minus the fruits… those who ate such things regularly have higher chance of getting it.

I was leaning vegetarian already when I met girlfriend but I’ve pretty much been full vegan now since beginning of the year. Probably best decision in a very long time. Feel better and more conscious of what I’m putting in my body. So no more of those charcuterie boards for me…

I’ve had two. They gave me the liquid prep for the first one but I was given pills for the second one. Had some doubts but they worked. Definitely would recommend.
