I finally got signed in. Thank you !
Just for everyones benefit, IMO my spec game is based on my ability to gauge if a book will do well in the short term AND the long term. I mentioned the factors that I use for this in my earlier post. This helps me gauge the risk I want to take in my investment.
To be clear I am still refining my spec game, and for sure while I am better than I was when I first started, I have a long way to go to reach some of the spec Gods.
Also, I do appreciate ‘Venomismypassion’ sharing his strategy, and am always incorporating new ideas into my strategy. Doesnt hurt to try it and test it out ! I have done it already on some Werewolf By Night 1 books (bought 19) - already see some gains in the short time I bought them; have enough to play the long game now.
I wont knock anyones spec strategy !
Welcome! We look forward to you sharing your thoughts!
Recount #1 from Scout Comics is getting a 3rd print. It is listed on TFAW new October catalog.
Didnt even know people were buying the 1st print…
That book was too close to reality at the time for me to approach.
They did but why did it take 10 months or so for them to realize they needed another print? Oh that’s right, this is Scout. There wasn’t any actual demand for it, they just figured they could use a little extra dough by making it look like there’s more demand.
Once it got optioned, eBay prices started to spike for the #1 - especially the Quah convention edition. Scout trying to get their cut.
Scout books always get optioned it seems… yet I can’t recall a single one that has ever made it to our actual screens. I think it’s just marketing for them… claim “option” to sell more books.
Surprised this is reprinted. Cover A still wins.
How is King Spawn getting another printing? Stores ordered so many copies of the first printing for that 1:250 ratio!
Image playing the marketing game…
