I dont even have a cell phone, just do my checking like Prof. X (picture me with my hand on my head, gazing at the stars) j/k. At a comic sale, I do miss out on some books because I dont know if they are worth something, and also end up buying up some duds because I think they are.
It hurts when I am at comic book sales and these folks are all pulling out their cell phones and checking prices, etc. It really bugs me though when theres that one guy, who pulls up his stack on the boxes you want to go through and then proceeds to do his checking forever.

I call my local comic shops if I want something hot held for me and they do so because they don’t suck. Now, there was that one shop I used to go to and then quit because they were terrible, but I burned that bridge happily. Any hot book would mysteriously have arrived damaged only to have a couple of copies of it in a week or two on the wall marked up nicely. Some B.S.

I am not sold on the reg. 2nd. print (Thor 20); but the 1:25 is the one to have. $45 too high though.

There are going to be a lot of these 2nd print s siting on shelves. Because no one will want them, but shops still need them to qualify for the 1:25.
But it also means a lot of shops won’t go too heavy on it either and keep the 1:25 numbers down.
Not touching this with a 99-1/2 foot pole…

I agree and like the 2nd print 1:25 cover but double ratio is too steep for me for a character that probably won’t be around past issue 23 knowing Cates.
