2nd 3rd and 4th printings!

Sanctum Sanctorium…but it’s $5 shipping for one book…then jumps to $9 priority for two books.

That’s going into my Report Card thread…!

Golden Apple…$6.99 shipping for one book…

THATS going into my report card thread…!

Thanks I’ll do that for next time. Was tryna share info quicc as possible so we can order

Unknowncomics.com has the trades and virgins.

Don’t be too hard on Sanctum. They pack stuff really well and when I’ve ordered their store exclusives they bag and board them AND put them in toploaders at no extra cost. Makes me okay with the shipping.

I haven’t ordered from them in a while, but have no complaints on their packaging/shipping.

But why I haven’t ordered in a while is because of the shipping costs. I like to order 2-3 books at a time as usually I’m looking for books my lcs doesn’t get, or the one they get is trashed.

Same goes for Golden.

Although Golden plays the spec game now…after FOC these books will jump to $10…and then to $20 when they become sold out at other major online shops.

I see your logic then there. I’ve used them lately for their store exclusives and ordering a chunk of FOC later printings of stuff.

Sanctorum is nice for the top loaders agreed. Golden apple isn’t even an option anymore for me. Full price on preorder and higher price when the book is on fire/speculation etc.

Golden Apple are the Gold Standard on jacking up new release books…

Golden Apple I avoid. Rip off.

This comic was mentioned in another thread here o CHU and now CBSI has it #3 in there weekly top ten. The Ultimates #2 2nd print is pretty hot right now!

@rob92807 Yeah…I’ve been talking up that whole run, but I’m not really sure where that hype on the 2nd print is coming from. I think it’s a bunch of BS to be honest. They state that the book is “exploding in sales”…ummm…look at sold listings. There are like 3 sold.

The 1st print of #2 and all the variants of that issue are great. They have exploded in sales. There is no rationale for the 2nd print being valuable/rare or anything else. It’s a great book…but just because someone jumped the gun and paid waaaaayyyy too much for it doesn’t mean it should be indicated as such.

Mile high had copies of that 2nd print for a whopping $11.00 just a few days ago when I actually bought some (that’s before the sale discount).

If anyone is going to blindly toss money at that #2 second print, I would go buy the Cheung variant which is gorgeous instead.

P.S…that Cheung variant also still in stock at Mile High and priced at half what they are on ebay.

I usually don’t care much about what is on a list…but that made zero sense to me.

Just saw your post on that thread! I agree with everything you said. I would love to get that Galactus cover you mentioned. Had my eye on that one too!!!

Just secured two copies of Thor #5 3rd print. Be nice if its half as popular as Venom #3 3rd.

TFAW also has them. It if you get shipped less than 5 books they’ll come in that flimsy mailer and arrive damaged…

…and Kyle will tell you to F off.

I’ve never been not refunded by TFAW. Kyle has been good to me.

Toss Comics only charges $4 shipping for 2 books…then it jumps to $7 priority for 3 books.

And I want three books.

$2.99 per book though. Kinda makes up for a shop like GA which charges $7 on top of full cover…

Basically I can buy 5 copies of these books and pay the same price golden Apple charges for 2 after shipping…and both shipped priority.

In fact, if I paid cover in the lcs I’d pay tax and it’d be the same as Toss shipped as they don’t charge tax.

Seems like Toss wins if I don’t find anyone else…

I told him my books are damaged because of the flimsy mailers with no rigidity. He told me it’s because of my post office and I should contact them. I am more than willing to pay extra for rigid mailers, but his company doesn’t care enough to offer that option.

I hear you. They basically “make you” buy more books in order to get them shipped in a better container.

And, unlike other shops, you can’t just add books across various weeks or even back-issues to fill out an order given their rigid shipping frequency restrictions. At least it’s a gamble because if a single book gets pushed a week (looking at you Legends) you’re paying shipping on two separate orders now, losing any savings you may have gotten with pre-orders.

I’ve pretty much abandoned them, except as a very last resort/Hail Mary.

Well that’s a different argument.

I’m sure he still offered you a full refund though. But yes it sucks to get damaged books but TFAW has been better then any other company I’ve dealt with about replacing damaged books or refunding.

I don’t want the mailers, so I just make sure my orders aren’t that small. I’ve been lucky the few times I’ve got them but I get why people hate them.

I’ve been on Newkadia for years to change their packaging to no avail. Their boxes have the comics right against the corners of the boxes and any pressure at all to that corner dings ups the books.
