Haha… nope! :stuck_out_tongue:

Nope!! Were on ur neck!!

I had the exact opposite experience. I used to shop a lot online, and due to regular headaches from online shops (like having to force a shop to ship your preorders 3 weeks after the day of release, Mike ), I shop almost exclusively at my LCS’ now. And if you guage the comments on CHU, I think you read a lot more horror stories about online experiences as opposed to in person experiences.

I had a horror story at a shop today. I know where books are. Like i remember where I have seen back issues. One issue in the Covrprice list today I went to get. I get there and the are reorganizing their back issues. I ask for the book and he said he put his copies in a long box for a 50 cent sale. I said well you sell them for $3 I’d be happy to pay that for them now. He said no it wasn’t worth his energy to go get them. Um… he would rather not walk into the back for a $9 sale than lug them out later for .50 cents? Anyway I pulled a Spiderman 2099 37 out of his back issue bin. He said I was looking for that and was going to lost it on eBay. He proceeded to take the book from my pile and put it behind the counter. Now this isn’t a store I frequent often but know what he has so I hit him from time to time. I said are you kidding me, he said no it’s his book and he would rather sell it for more online than the $3 I was about to fork over. I handed over the rest of the books to him I had in my hand (missing his hands by the way) and said I would rather shop elsewhere. He picked up the books off the floor and I walked out. Screw that.

G-Shit.

hey , it could have been worse. Canadian post could have sent it back a second time with postage due. and your right, we both learned our lessons from the experience. Next time I wont let customers ship things to my house so they can save on postage or not charge them for the over cost on the postage to canada. Live and Learn I guess.

You can buy this book for less than $10 shipped. He seriously made a stink about that taking it from your pile?

No other business I can thing of that has shop owners like this…!

Pffft. BS. Stories. That’s not how that works, at all. You and your stories. Pfft. No worries, Mike. I just loved the personal irony in your initial post. As you said, lesson learned. All good. :v:

If its all good then why does it seem like you take every opportunity to bad mouth me? its like you have a vendetta or something. you coulda not said anything in this thread, yet you chose to. That dosnt sound like "All Good :v: "

Ya’ll take the personal disputes to PM please. @jcLu @Mike_C Thanks.

More often than not stores like that don’t last long. If that is how they do business good chance they will lose paying customers little by little. They do it to themselves so I have zero sympathy. Good riddance I say.

I will check that section out. I used to customize Playmobil figures by reassembling them or using epoxy to make new beards, fur capes and weapons. One is the avatar I use. Playmobil even took some of my ideas I designed as their own.
