2nd 3rd and 4th printings!

If you’re not reading them
(Marvel), how do you know they’re bad, good or great? You can’t really comment on something when you’re not reading it.

I read a decent amount of comics. Mostly Image, Boom, Dark Horse as I like that content more. But, I try to read new-ish Marvel from time to time, and 96% of the time I get halfway through and want to stab myself in the eyes.

It’s like they either A) assume you’ve read all 994 legacy books B) write to a 3rd grade audience even though that’s not who’s buying and/or C) have next to no basic storytelling ability whatsoever.

I will say, DC doesn’t seem to have these problems. More often than not, I like what I read from DC. I just finally read Dceased, and it was great. I so wanted to love the new Werewolf by Night. Great covers. Great characters. I read one issue, and stopped buying the book. I don’t know if it’s impossibly short deadlines or poor writers or what, but yikes.

Just my opinion. If you love Marvel’s current writing, that’s ok.
