yep, long term im guessing 2nd print will be hardest to find, since its not only wasnt known a set was coming, but its also a cover B

MCS has them. Can get 2 per order and can piggy back on your pre orders.

I do not see it anywhere for preorder. I hope it it not already past FOC.

FOC is May 19th

so i was thinking
if we we stop ordering transformers gi joe void rivals printing
doesn’t it mean it sells out faster so then they make a new printing ?

I stopped at the 2nd print for most. I don’t even buy the first print…just wait for Jason Howard covers. He told me he has a long list of covers/characters he’s already drawn for reprints.

Yes. There must be some algorithm that they use to determine, based on how many copies of the previous printings were ordered, predict how many copies the next printing will sell. If it’s above a certain threshold (probably as low as 500) they send it back to print.

Rinse and repeat.

But until the retailers stop ordering the books, keep printing money…

So, in order to stop the madness…we need to keep it going…

I know marketing to speculation isn’t their business model, but these folks are making it so easy for me to shift away from any new comics at all. Leaning towards that anyway but putting my $$ into older books & cards is the way forward.
Ghost Machine books will be the exception for now.

Ive cut back ALOT. A cool cover just doesnt do it for me anymore. Prices are too high.

Iv’e been buying Image and indie ratios.

i fell off w/ DC 2 years ago, looks like Marvel this year. Hardly been buying to be honest. Looking for older books, continuing to buy horror or anything interesting and out of the ordinary.

I’ve got a show this weekend, guess time to try and unload my copies with the second print on the way out. Like you guys have said, these modern books are drek and not even worth dumping money in unless it is a very cool cover.

Look at how cool Incredible Hulk #449 cover was with Hulk and The Thunderbolts, yet now all of the mishaps that Marvel has done to shit on the Bolts between a whole different team in the movie (which the movie was awesome) and now they release a new Thunderbolts team book, yet make it New Avengers with a roster that makes no sense or even has any synergy with the movie. I am guessing that the Thunderbolts are done for at this point.

I’m closing to completing my Walking Dead run and not too far off with Spawn, so I will stick with that stuff than this DC and Marvel junk.

I’ve learned to sell these books when they get hot out of the gate…it is very rare for these books not to see a later printing and/or plummet in value. If I really want the cover art I know I’ll have an opportunity later.

I ask myself…is it the cover that makes me want to hold onto this book, or the fact that it suddenly has monetary value? More often than not it’s the latter and I just let it go, and never look back.

Same here. If I can make a quick buck, I will. But dipping my toes into silver age lower-mid grades for the PC. Raw.

I take the quick buck every time. I flipped all my copies a long time ago and moved on.
