Bad Idea

The Lot and Tankers were the two titles I was most excited for (that we know of).

Tankers is up for preorder at midtown

Anybody else planning on retiring early because they have one of these in their possession?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I’m quitting my job tomorrow in anticipation of this.

We put out another small stack of those that we found in the back at one of our stores and I’ve never seen people try to shove each other out of the way to get a free preview magazine.

I’ve lost hope in humans… if and when we build a space ship that can sustain life to travel to other planets and solar systems, I’m outta here… Sadly I’ll be long dead before that happens.

I have two of them up for sale on Mercari. They haven’t moved at all

I can’t wait until we see a CGC 9.8 of that promo for sale on ebay for $499.99.

They sell online for under $10. Was your post sarcasm? I’m confused.

I have about 100 copies of the promo. I purchased them (2 bundles) with the expectation of a nice profit. I will wait until the other Bad Idea books come out. But not looking promising! If not a price bump after Eniac, then when?

Sarcasm. Yes. Very sarcasm.

Yeaaaa. It seems BAD IDEA only wants to create buzz and drive speculators crazy…

I like what they are doing. I spent today going through the list of retailers on their site and finding ones I could sign up to pre-order their titles online.

Not when you factor in shipping. I mean they have to pay the shipping right?

It does have the effect of using speculators to boost small biz. Pretty cool from that perspective

I don’t know what was paid for shipping. If you look closely at the prices in the pic I posted above, it says by each sold listing ‘shipping estimate from United States’.
Those shipping prices aren’t what the buyer paid, but the price I would have to pay if I bought the item and had it shipped to me in Canada. :man_shrugging: So, the actual buyer could have paid $3 for domestic US shipping for all I know. :+1:

Hope it’s a first print. I just ordered one.

Do you all think that upcoming Bad Idea books might have the same potential as ENIAC 1 did? That one completely blew up, but if I remember correctly, there was allocation thrown on top of it.

Many of these Bad Idea books don’t look all that exciting to me, and the cover price is higher than I’d prefer. But, I don’t want to miss out on an ENIAC 1 again.
