Bad Idea

They seem to get their jollies off publicly banning retailers and such… I know there’s a clinical term for such people… Why make a circus out of the whole thing? Bunch of children over there running that publisher…

One wonders if a pin was actually faked or they made this up for more attention. You don’t think they would, but then again…

It would certainly be cheaper to make this up than buy micro security stuff.

Is Bad Idea in the comic publishing business or the policing our crappy exclusive and limited pins business?

Yes? To both?

Just seems like we hear more news about their pins or stickers than their actual books…

I haven’t read any of the books but I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about all of them. I think all the Bad Ideas bring them publicity and it’s intentional. I think their goal is to get those series into other formats like animated, live action series and movies.

@ToddW is correct. The damnedest thing is that their comics are actually really good. They don’t even need to do all these idiotic P.R. stunts as they could just let the comics speak for themselves in terms of their quality. However, by drawing so much attention with this dumbassery they can probably sign deals quicker for their products when it comes to adaptations or such. That’s the theory, maybe?

I saw that. That has to be the biggest f-u to fans.

They could have easily bought one of those laser burn printer things and put some slate slabs in there and printed a copy of one of their comic covers on it to actually sell a comic carved on a rock.

This is either really stupid or it is not actually a rock and fans get something nice. Otherwise, I hope people used those pins to get the limited edition comics…

I think Bad Idea at this point is just mocking the comic and collecting world… They’re basically making fun of you all for chasing these silly items like pins and stickers…

I’m sticking to just reading their titles I might find interesting and nothing more because they’re like a bunch of children over there running that company.

So you trade a pin for a rock and give em $10 in shipping?! I wish they would focus on actual content instead of these silly games.

So they’re making fun of their customers for chasing these gimmicks that they themselves provided? Hypocrisy at its finest.

Trying to assess if it’s better to own a collectible rock or an NFT.

But what can you trade the rock for? You know that’s next.
