That just shows the type of people you’re dealing with then.
If something is ignored by everyone and everything, does it cease to exist?
Ive been echoing this sentiment for some time now. The problem is, that a small handful of people eat up the hype, and next thing you know we have a hot book. All it takes is a couple of whales to trigger fomo.
I forgot about them.
Well…maybe they learned from their own bad ideas…
The Bad Idea was me buying any of their books. Won’t make that mistake twice.
This company is dead and buried to me. I don’t really care for any of their shenanigans and gimmicks to get headlines. I made some money from them back in the day but that’s in the past now. Haven’t cared about them in years.
It’s a shame they are such a gimmicky company. Some of the stories were actually pretty good.
I agree. The debut stories had some solid yarns. I liked Tankers and Eniac a lot.
Does anyone tell the truth anymore?
YES!..that was a lie.
I was kinda interested in Distillery books, but I see their first real book (I think) Somna has a $9 cover price. It’s one of the things I couldn’t stand about Bad Idea books. $9 books is not the way to publisher success.
I’m lying right now.
That big price tag did give me pause. I’ll skim the book at the comic shop and buy it if I’m really impressed.
