I still have some incoming from Third Eye that you all recommended. I’ll just keep those sealed. These will be easy sells down the line.
These were flying off the shelves at my shop. Everyone in the store had at least one in hand. Lots of chatter about it. I think the gambling on “rarer” covers worked really damn well for them.
If this blind bag idea wasn’t part of this, I wonder if they sell half as many.
I can say that the biggest online store in Canada (at least I think they are) had 570 blind bags at release on Tuesday night. They sold out last night.
These were fun but because it was successful you know it’s gonna become a trend that’s run into the ground.
That’s not odd. That’s f’d up.
It’s going to be the next “foil craze” for sure.
Watch how many comic convention vendors have blind bag comic pack exclusives by next year.
Even the worst What Not comic packs have been successful. Just the beginning.
The sweet spot here though was the blind bags were only $3.99. Die cut, card stock, foil covers… all were $3.99.
Marvel is gonna try this, but they’ll make it boring as hell and charge $8.99 each. And, it’ll die just that quickly.
I cant stand that guy.
He talks like a dumbass.
I opened 20 packs and filmed it. Not saying it’s my retirement though. $80 worth.
I’ve yet to hear you provide praise for any you tuber. So I’m not surprised.
I find him hilarious. Talks fast though.
Perhaps try to focus on the positive instead of just the negative you find from others…
As I sit here reflecting on attempting to shift my paradigm for looking for the positive in anything and everything, my 1st vision formulating in my head I see is CGC.
And I ask myself, “Bill, try to focus on their positives”. And y’know what? - I am digging as far deep as I can; thinking of every possible aspect that could be perceived as a positive.
After stretching the limits of all aspects and what can be perceived as positive about them and that incompetent idiot Matt Nelson - I have officially closed up shop in my medulla oblongota
Lately when I can’t think of anything positive to say about something, I just don’t say anything at all. Works out well… too much negative crap in the world and everyone seems to focus on that instead of all the good left out there.
Oh I agree.
But man o man, when you get sucker punched in the gut over and over with them damaging mine and everyone’s expensive books… well… y’know how that goes effin with people’s livelihood.
They’re a disgrace to the hobby
I just found out that my co-worker sent 40k worth of comics to CGC to be graded and “they lost the package” even though it was tracked and says they received it. So yeah… No possitive thoughts on that one.
DAAAAAMMMMMMNNNN
That’s crazy
I would never ship anything worth that much money. That’s when you drive it yourself and pick it up when they’re done!
