Black Panther 2: Atlantis vs Wakanda

It’s very strange that the name is so similar, that will some slight mis-pronunciation it’s basically the same. I wonder if they’re trolling us.

Anyone care to explain why Avengers World 9 is being pushed as 1st Azari T’Challa?

Because its the book that the seller owns

It’s not Azari or Tosin why everyone is trying to spin him into something he’s not I have no clue.

Also let me be very clear here Black Panthers children are first shown in Black Panther Annual #1 2008 the same book that is first Shuri as Black Panther that all the shitty speculators like to discount as being a different Earth like that even matters anymore. This is the first time we ever see any son of Tchalla and this is not Azari.

I count the Annual. Good book.

Well, there have been about 20 sales in the past 2 weeks, and 12 more copies still listed as first Azari. So it’s not just the one seller.

When we begin believing most people/collectors are savvy and sharp; most everything will make logical sense.
And if that were ever to happen (which it won’t), our sales would not be nearly what they have been; even in the down times and plentiful times

We market many of our books for folks that are not all that bright and/or can’t lay off the FOMO button.
I count on that fact now and forever.

The sequel cost more money to make, opened in more theaters, and still under-performed compared to the 1st movie’s opening weekend. Taking into account for inflation, less people saw the sequel.

This is a failure.

Hardly a failure. Biggest November opening weekend of all time, 10th-highest opening day ever. Worldwide it’s at $330m after one weekend of release. I’d say that’s a smash hit.

Biggest opening in a “certain month” is nothing. Its hype by the studio. Its like giving trophies to all participants in a race because they showed up…

The 1st Black Panther movie made $404 million worldwide on opening weekend…

yea, the sequel is a failure.

Most industry observers would disagree, but you do you.

(Also 2nd highest opening weekend of 2022)

But the main variable to watch will be the 2nd weekend change from 1st weekend.

Very few blockbusters have opened in 2022. So few choices.

Again, you’re cherry picking like 5 blockbusters that have opened so far this year…

It isn’t going to reach the same heights as the first one.

It’s making a bunch of money, that is not a failure.

Making vs net profit… different

unless you’re a Hollywood studio or executive I really dont care about box office numbers, transformers and fast and furious make a crap ton of money and those movies are :poop: :poop:

The problem is not how much it has made.
We, and all fans are going to see it because it’s an MCU movie.
So it’s going to make money because we all desire to see it.

The problem is the successive rash of sh&t movies and the effect of these sh&t movies in the long term. How long are we going to continue tolerating subpar MCU movies before we start changing how we spend our dollars?
It’s no longer ok to simply say the movie was “good” or “it was fun”.
These movies are underperforming with quality, storytelling, originality and sometimes just pure dumb ass stuff happening in the movie.
I am seriously worried about the long term impact; and we all should be.
