Black Panther 2: Atlantis vs Wakanda

I thought it was decent. I remember watching the 2nd one in theaters when it came out and being absolutely miserable lol

Given its opening post Covid and during a rough time for the economy, I’d say it’s doing well comparative to the month it’s opening (80% what the first movie did).

It’s one weekend. Too early to write it off. Buzz may carry it into the thanksgiving weekend.

Also, right before Black Friday and holiday shopping…merchandising is a huge part of money making.

To write it off now is like leaving the stadium after 1 quarter of football, down by 7.

Just got back from the movie, I liked it and Namor is a total bad ass. Also, I’m pretty certain this is the first time that a character as been referred to as a mutant proper.

I thought it was a good movie…not great. Coming out of Phase 4…Marvel needed Great. I think for every Marvel Movie from this one on is going to be judged more harshly and critically because majority of fans are waiting for “The One” to spark the MCU again. Each time a movie fails to do this…it puts even more pressure on the next…so you are up Ant-Man and Wasp Qauntumania!!

I thought it was really quite good. Namor was great. I liked RiRi. Shuri was good and then great once she got over herself. I think the movie could have been about 45 mins shorter but overall I enjoyed myself.

I think for me the issue with all the shows and movies right now is that I already spent years and years of time waiting for all the Avengers to come together and then they finally did and it was great! Then they decimated them and it’s all having to start over again and now it’s just a waiting game. Like having appetizers that are ok enough but you want the main course.
