I’d assume that’s why they took them out to make sure everyone at your store gets a fair shot at them.

Sure was, looks like BOOM totally screwed up this promotion. All I can do is laugh as no one had any idea about this until after.
BOOM didn’t necessarily screw up… they’re only goal is to get more people to buy multiple copies of BRZRKR… now, if they really wanted people who aren’t reading SIKTC get a copy to fall in love with it, they would have made it so you buy the other books and then redeem directly with BOOM, not going through retailers.
That’s true, I feel there’s going to be a lot of disappointed people who’re hunting this 8th printing. My store only found out about it through the inserts. We had no idea otherwise.
I do feel they screwed it a little though. The idea sounds like they want people to read SIKTC also while also pushing more issues of BRZRKR. They should have just shipped XX amount of SIKTC copies with how many orders of the foil maybe. Just my two cents though, I collect SIKTC, and so far BRZRKR hasn’t lived up to how hard they’re pushing it in my opinion.
They’re trying to avoid all those “returns” from those who chased the 1:1000

I called them and they told me it’s any #1 and any #2. If you want 5 Something is killing the Children 8th Printing books, then buy 5 #1s and 5 #2s with 5 Something is killing the children 8th ptg in your cart.
How’s their math working out for that? I thought stores could order 1 copy of the SIKTC 8th for every 3 copies of #2 they bought? That means if you bought 5 of each, the store has to actually buy 15 copies to get 5 copies of the 1:3 variant of SIKTC… 
I don’t know. That is what I was told. I’m only ordering 1 of each and some other books for the month.
Are we still sure that the “secret boom variant,” which has shown some evidence to be a 1:3, is the SIKTC 8th print? These two really seem at odds.
Boom isn’t going to say buy a BRZRKR1 and 2 and get a free SIKTC 1, then only allow 1 in 3 people to actually fulfill this.
Is it possible that the secret boom variant is really just a BRZRKR incentive, totally separate from the SIKTC deal?

I just purchased a few of those sets of eBay and will ask my LCS if they know anything else about this. I am done jumping through hoops on special exclusive things anymore.
Am I the only one who finds it weird when creators or people in charge of their books post about how much they’re going for on ebay and aftermarket? Like I just picture them in my head going “woah that’s weird how’d that happen” in a sarcastic tone

It’s because Ross Richie likes to throw around the term “allocated” and watch his books skyrocket in price…
I stopped at my LCS today and purchased the foil #1 edition. I also pre-ordered a #2 foil edition. I now qualify for the STIKC 8th print now. I just have to give them the card. So basically I have to purchase the second foil copy and give them the card to get the free comic at my LCS.
My shop didn’t know anything about this and they were already sold out of the foil version.
Hopefully you get one… do notice the “While supplies last”… so it’s still not guaranteed unfortunately…

My shop didn’t know until another collector said showed him the card inside. He said to bring the card back and purchase the second one. He said it was the surprise variant. I order some on eBay. If that doesn’t work out as planned, at least I hope to get one copy.
Yes. I talked to the owner and he knows me. I should not have a problem. I will email them or talk to them the week before to make sure. It is a weird setup up that Boom did.
