CGC pickups

I prefer to submit at conventions but that just isn’t going to happen for a while. If you pack well and insure fully you should have no issues submitting through the mail.

It is a good time to submit your Eternals books. Right now a lot of them are on a little of a downward trend. As soon as Marvel starts showing trailers the whole series is going to spike! When that happens it may cost more to submit them if they expand into a higher value tier.

That’s a great point on moving to a higher value. I saw CGC has 3 tiers. 2/3 looks like they give you money back. Any recommendation in which tier to get?

If you are looking for membership and are fairly new to submitting go tier two, you get the money put into it back and slightly less costs. When submitting, most Eternals books should be in the range of a modern submission tier (value under $200) unless it is a high grade issue #1 or they are all 9.8 candidates.

I honestly do not know what they would grade. Definitely in the higher end. I assume CGC will tell you your final cost after they grade?

Yes they will. If you submit as honest as possible it probably won’t deviate much if any from your initial guesses.

Thanks.

Seems to only be going up. I’m still kinda new to playing the spec game, so this was my big break into a high grade hold. Picked it up for $80 CDN. Too good a deal to turn down.

I’ve been trying to avoid purchases but I received a $25 eBay coupon & it expired soon.
I’ve always liked this book & have a couple raw copies as well as 2nd prints.
I’m a bit of a believer that on some books it’s easier to just buy the 9.8 and be done with it. This book is a pain to chase as a raw condition wise.
Glad I bought when I did. Got a fair deal & I noticed it ended up on a certain “hot list” which only means I’d have to spend more.
I’ve always liked this cover. Kind of unique.

Wow…I sold a raw with a finger print on it for more than that.

I bought a raw from poyo during one of his Black Friday sales for $10. Sucker.

It wasn’t a 9.8 though.

I had he same coupon…with minutes remaining I got someone to bring their price down to $25.00 for a 2nd print of issue #25.

Then went to check out and realized the purchase had to be $25.01 or more…

Spent the next hour trying to find something buy it now for $1.

Ended up buying a small Lego set for my kid for something for $7 and beat out the clock.

He was asking $130, I had $80 available to spend, lowball offered the $80 figuring it would be declined and, to my surprise, he accepted. Sometimes you just get lucky I guess!

How do you guys get coupons with eBay? I’ve been doing business with them and only gotten 1 $5 coupon in the 6 years that I’ve been using them.

@Gbess
Mine was some anniversary gift for “being with them from the start” per the coupon/message.
I started using eBay in early 1997.

The $25 coupon might have been the only one I’ve gotten (not counting eBay buck) for over a year. I think the other was a $5 coupon nearly two years ago.

They really just do ebay bucks promotions now,…and they’ve only been 5% promos for a long time. Haven’t seen a 10% or more in a year as well.

@Devildog see that monster Crow #1 sale $2250 for a 9.6
