I think Previews are a slippery slope, but if you have something people are buying, you may as well sell.

Yeah don’t shake your head at the market, take advantage and sell while you can. Let the market determine what it wants.

Yeah, it’s undeniable that it’s a significant book in the history of Miles. 1st Miles cover, and it’s scarce which means you can have naysayers and old men shaking their heads and it’ll still sell for more than UF4 pound for pound :man_shrugging:

But yeah, I have em to sell em.

Not old. But go ahead and take advantage of noob buyers, who listen to Youtubers pumping copies they have.

A comic book is the only printed appearance that has true value. You know, a story.

Everyone is free to buy what they want. Also, no one is pumping this book. In fact, the opposite is happening. I see way more crying about it “not being a comic book” than people saying go buy it. Leads me to believe it’s growth is organic, as it should be. It’s the first cover appearance of Miles Morales. There are other “non comic books” that have outvalued their “comic book” counterparts - it’s not unprecedented.

And as far as taking advantage of noobs, who do you think you are? Do you think you’re some angel sent to set the comic community straight and save the poor stupid souls who by comics for more than you think they should? Every time you sell a book that heated up, you’re ‘taking advantage of noobs’ by your own logic. You’re a hypocrite and you look silly trying to make yourself feel better about it by posting nonsense on a comic book forum.

Oh boy, if I was, I’d stopped the fake hype of Previews books dead in it tracks.

Nothing wrong with selling previews and making money off em. Now if you were buying at a crazy price I’d personally disagree but that’s me.

I have the 2nd cheapest copy up for sale for a couple months now and has yet to sell has a good amount of watchers on mercari haven’t listed it on eBay yet. I got it for $50 about a week before I listed it.

I saw yours and it looks to be upper mid grade and there are some cheap graded copies on eBay, that’s probably why yours hasn’t moved yet. It will though, raw copies are getting tougher and tougher to find. A 9.2 sold for $1150 last week.

The best thing about having it listed it has 700+ views so drives a lot of traffic to my other items for sale.

People are entitled to thier opinion, but no one here decides what should or should not be considered collectible. We can disagree with each other on the value or reason, but do so respectfully.

Early magazine cover art of characters that have later become extremely popular have shown to become true collectibles. they represent something memorable in the timeline of how the character debuted and evolved into what they are today.
