I agree. I also believe that a comic is a comic. Previews, though they discuss comics and show images of comic books, is not a comic, and it just boggles my mind that images there are somehow first appearances. To each their own, as has been stated before. It just surprises me that this somehow has enough value to get slabbed, and those values…good lord!

Full disclosure, I’m happy with my 1st print UF4. If I came across a previews I’d sell it in a second. And likely buy a nice bronze/silver age comic.
It’s a must have for character completionists. So there’s always going to be a market for them. Does CGC grade them?
What percentage of our small community do you think are ‘character completionists’? Id say its under 2%. Thats a really niche market, imo.
We’re just a small sample of the community and I bet it’s closer to 15-20%.
I’d say I’m a completionist on Moon Knight, but I wouldn’t be looking for pieces outside of comics pertaining to comics. I “might” get a previews with MK on it, but would certainly not be chasing it. I think 15-20% is pretty high; on a good day, you might creep up to 1:10.
Character completionists? I’d say 0.01%.
Many may “try” but there is just too much material for every character.
You know where all my free previews I obtain go when I’m done with them? In the trash!

Got back some older books. I still think it’s BS that CGC considers small pieces reattached w tape as resto, but I did expect the purple labels. Just wanted them slabbed. The early FF books were otherwise graded harshly imo, but it’s all good, I got them all for so cheap a while back. Very pleased though w the FF15, FF112, 1st Defenders & 1st Mockingbird.

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been trying to mix up the submissions more. I have a modern sub going out next week that includes stuff from 2 Iron Fist 14s to ASM 93 Gleasons lol.
