Nice slabs, Jerlin Q.
Sly Cooper had some fun games.
Those are nice in about any grade!
I got two huge boxes back from CGC finally. All modern stuff. I pulled a few fun highlights that I thank this site for discussing back when the issues were either coming out and/or cheap. “Two for the future (DP and WWBN)”, the popular Miss Minutes book, and “a gamble”. Drunkwooky convinced me the 1:10 Life Day had potential so I went with it. I am very happy with the Timeless 1 2nd print. That black cover and the thickness of the book made the chances of getting one in a 9.8 kind of low given the junk paper Marvel uses. I had ordered 2 copies from Villain Gaming back when they were up for pre-order. Looks like this one made the grade!
Timeless is the first print. Yes, that’s a tough one to get 9.8. I have 2 copies and neither are 9.8s.
Got this baby back from cgc after just under a month for a reholder (was in an old slab, and older inner sleeve without a well).
CGC Comics Academy
Thoughts?
To me has that “We will teach you over one weekend to flip real estate and become a millionaire” vibe

We look forward to providing online and larger-scale educational seminars in the future.
Mixed feelings. If I lived within reasonable driving distance, I’d consider it just because I think it would be an interesting glimpse into their (public-facing but not always followed) standards and educational for me, as I don’t consider myself an expert grader. I interpret a little air of desperation about it, too.
Who knows, it could be a legit good experience for attendees and if it helps them hire additional competent graders, great.
I’d do it if I was local as well. Same reasons. Maybe a nice retirement job…grading comics part time.
Crap. I live in Tampa. I should apply. I really would just like to learn their tolerance levels for certain defects. I just got back 50 modern books from them. I only shoot for 9.8 on modern. I was 46/50 on 9.8’s. I guess my scale is pretty close to theirs. One book that didn’t hit was one I doubted but thought it was worth a try to see what would happen. The other 3, I’m not sure why they were 9.6.
I mean, free snacks and I get to learn more stuff about comics. Sounds interesting if I lived nearby.
If I lived near there I’d attend. Actually if I lived near them I’d already be working for them.
I am positive everyone who attends and finishes the seminar will be offered a job. They’re in desperate need of hiring staff. Unless you show up high or drunk, expect an offer.
Idk. Maybe they should make their employees burn one down before work?! They’d be more focused, notice the defects on the books and the crumbs from their lunch inside the slab.
Get rid of that asap, 6/66 !!!
It does look really good for a .5!
Who is that on the cover? I’m not real familiar with the X-Men.
