CGC pickups

@ComicSpec
In looking at others on eBay, they all indicate Acetate variant.
If just keeping it for PC, I wouldn’t care personally, but if the goal is to sell, I do think they should correct it as it is a mistake and it could result in a lower sale/questions from buyers.

Contact cgc and explain, they should do a reholder for free (since its an error on their part).

Haven’t got a CGC in a while but glad to have this in my collection now.

Saw this auction ending with 0 bids. Kind of a big impulse buy, but it happened:

Clone Wars 1 Special Edition CGC SS 9.2 signed by Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, and Rosario Dawson. Maybe I’ll get it signed by Hayden someday.

How much did your impulse cost you, Wook?

Looks super cool!!! Good impulse decision I think

basically a reimagining of planet of the apes but in classic kirby style.
really fun read and also some decent long-term potential imo.
not normally interested in dc or cgc but i do loves me some bronze-age #1’s.
and gotta love kirby.

Upgraded my 8.5 Newsstand. Book looks flawless and probably a good resubmit candidate.

How does the off white pages affect the grade? Are there 9.8 O/W?

Yes page color doesn’t really effect grade unless they are brittle

I have at least one 9.8 off white.

I didn’t buy it that way, was a book I submitted for the PC.

Ive got a couple of OW/W 9.8s.

Page color should effect the grade, just like signatures on a book should lower the grade.

I think it does to some extent. You won’t see any cream 9.8s.

Technically it doesn’t effect grade that much, but it definitely effects value.

W or OW/W doesnt really matter to me.

Only brittle matters everything else can be brought back to white with Peroxide 40 and Blacklight.

Then you get a restored label (or conserved) and now your Brilliant White chemical copy is worth less than a tan unaltered copy….
