CGC Slab Defects

incompetent jackasses

One time, I threw a polite fit on the phone when I had a comic come back with a big piece of hair trapped in the slab. They gave me an extra $5 credit with my next submission.

Lmao

Sounds familiar

Many many years ago, brought my car in for an oil change at Sears. They screwed it up by putting in waaaaay too much oil

Brought car back and complained. They gave me a coupon for a free coffee for the trouble :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Still a 9.8. Just don’t look below the label.

Buy the slab label, not the comic!

Need some 9.8 labels encapsulated with no comic……list on eBay for the same price as if there was a comic inside…

That would be a fun social experiment….grab an ASM 300 9.8…gently remove it (like swap gate) and reseal empty.

@Bill As much as you have a burning hatred for the incompetence and accountability at CGC, I’m surprised you’d give them any business whatsoever!

I know. I know. Not a good look.
My unfortunate situation is the sole and only comics i collect for me personally are celebrity signed comics.

The only company that provides the facilitators and ability to get witnessed signatures if im not attending a show, is CGC.

CBCS does it once in a blue moon (and i will use them every time if they do).
PSA also does not to the best of my knowledge.
So im stuck with these incompetent, non-caring asses in Sarasota if i want a celeb sig. - literally the only thing i still collect.

Theyre making it so difficult for the 1 thing i still care about by leaving me with the choice to stop collecting altogether the thing i love or to accept this travesty

I’ve heard they need more stamp collectors out there…

Ill put good money down if CGC graded stamps theyd find a way, as impossible as it seems, to bend / damage them too
:rage::rage:

I think i could send in a hunk of steel that superman cant bend, and theyd manage to bend steel while grading

How about this for a slab “defect?”

CGC can’t decide what label color for an error.,

Don’t know if I ever saw such a disparity of buying the label and not the book…:

They created the Green monster (with apologies to Fenway and Mary Shelly).

And the consumer/fan is stuck with the Green monsters.
