CHU Fantasy Football 2025

I think the biggest surprise this season in terms of qbs struggling and then moving on to have great success has been Daniel Jones. He’s just been a completely new qb.

Yikes. I think my team had a little too much turkey and stuffing this week. I seem to be trending in the wrong direction at the worst time of the year! LOL

7th and 8th place are mathematically eliminated at 4-9. They cannot catch up to 4th place (7-6) with 2 games left.

6th place (Wreck it Ralph) is mathematically still in the race at 5-8. But has to win 2.

  • if tie breaker is points, he would have to also gain ~200 points in 2 games…which is essentially 0% probability.
  • If the tie-breaker is head2head, he could overtake Nabers with a win this week as he’d be 2-0 in head to head, and Nabers would have to lose their last game (who plays 11-2 Rusty). This is actually feasible.

5th place (Dirty D) is a game back of 3rd and 4th, 2 games back of 2nd. Many possibilities, but no head to head advantage and back 60+ pts. Needs to essentially win out and hope either 2nd, 3rd or 4th lose 2.

Note: Dirty Plays 2nd and 4th place the last two weeks, and has won 4/5 games after losing by 0.12 pts in week 8 (to Mega City)…and that one loss since was by less than 10 pts. D is not going down without a fight…

So significant uphill battles for 5th and 6th…but still plenty to play for. And those eliminated can still shape the playoff picture in the roll of spoiler.

D-Bone’s really rubbing it in!

I will be honest and say, this year has kicked my ass. Last November my father in law decided to go off dialysis and pass away. He figured it would be quick, strong stubborn man lasted 6 weeks. My wife was at her parent’s house taking care of them. I was solo-parenting back at home. Flash forward a couple of months and they have the memorial for him. Next week we find out my wife had cancer. Flash forward to two surgeries. Move forward again and radiation treatment (which ended today).

I have not put much effort into any of my fantasy leagues. But I am going to try to pull off two wins in the next two weeks. We shall see.

Sometimes it’s all about hanging around until the end…getting hot at the right time…no one remembers those teams that started out hot, then fizzled at the end…

You’ve been through it lately. You’re in our thoughts!

I am tired man. Haven’t felt old until recently.

That kind of stress (on top of raising active teenagers) will accelerate aging for sure…I like to think my love for childish things like comic books, toys, cartoons helps keep me young…or at least slows/counters that process somewhat mentally at least.

Well, regular season is over. Top 4 make the playoffs. Bottom 4 play in a consolation bracket to determine the best Loser.

The Dirty D was able to avenge an earlier 0.12 pt (yes…a tenth of a point) loss to Mega City in Week 8 by squeaking out a 3 pt win this week in the rematch. The mid-season loss put him in last place and needing to go 7-0 to get in…made it interesting though finishing 5-2 down the stretch. But 0.12 result ended up being the difference for the final playoff spot when all the dust settled.

But the D was not the hottest team going down the stretch. After starting off 4-4, Vengeance went 6-1 to finish in second place and is on a 5 game win streak. 1st place Rusty is 5-2 in the past 7 games (after starting 8-0).

Rounding out the top 4: Both Nabers and Mega city have gone 4-3 in the past 7 (all three losses to top 5 teams).

So it would seem like the final is Destined to be Rusty vs Vengeance…but that is why we play the games! Trophies are earned, not given!

Good luck to all the next few weeks.

Well, you cleaned my clock in week 13, and if Kyle Pitts hadn’t popped off, I might have lost the last week, too. Not feeling destined to make the championship–the margins are too close, and most of my stars have been underperforming.

Plus, it’s the end of the season. Some NFL teams have nothing left to play for. Some are guaranteed to be in the playoffs and may ease up on the gas to save themselves for the post season.

Excited to see how it all plays out!

That was a fantastic game, indeed. I don’t really have an affinity for either team, so it was just great to see the poetry in motion out there!

I swear I played fantasy football in this league, but from the results, there’s no real evidence of that.

There’s always next year.

It was great having you in the league with us, big guy. This season was nuts so “normal” got thrown out the window and a lot of teams got so far behind that they couldn’t quite catch up. Look at D-bone: he almost turned it around but just ran out of time. Next year is something I am already looking forward to! You’re the man, Joe!

I didn’t go back and do the math, but I think most weeks I just out coached myself, putting the wrong players in. I bet I left more points on the bench than anyone this year.

Losing Burrow week 2 didn’t help, and I had to play musical QB all season…cards were just stacked against me in ‘05.

I finished with the 2nd best record in another league, the promptly had one of my worst scoring weeks in round 1 of the playoffs. Neat. Thanks Gibbs.
