I think I’d need a pretty good collapse in order to miss out at this point…but I am a Jets fans so I never feel comfortable….and assume the worst that could happen will absolutely happen…

You mean next year? I think he’s gone. Need a new coach and GM…might as well start with a new QB as well. Let them pick their future QB from this draft class. MAYBE they keep him if they have to draft a QB that’s not NFL ready Day 1 and needs a mentor.
Rest of this year…Tyrod is not the answer…why subject the fans and team to more torchure by playing him? Nothing to be gained there.
It’s still possible to go 9-8…even 8-9 and have a shot at a playoff wildcard. But it is a tall order to catch the Chargers and Broncos at this point. Still something to play for.
Just some examples of how this year has gone…
Week 4 Vs Denver: Missed 50yd FG with under a minute to Play. Lose by 1 pt.
Week 5 va Minnesota: Down by 6, on 3rd and 10
at the Minn 26yd line, Rodgers throws an interception ending a Jets comeback.
Week 6 vs Buffalo: Down by 3, Jets get the ball with 1:53 left to play. After a 6 yd pass, the next plays go as follows - 10 yd penalty, 2 yd run (???), -8 yd pass, pass incomplete, interception.
Week 8 vs New England: Jets go up 22-17 with 3
Minutes left. Patriots march down the field and score a TD with 22 seconds remaining.
Week 11 vs Indy: Jets have the ball, up 24-22 with 4th and 2 at the Indy 17 line. With under 3 minutes to play, A first down would end the game. Instead they choose a FG to force Indy to score a TD to win. After the Jets kick tho FG to go up 27-24 Indy drives down for a TD leaving the Jets only 46 seconds and no time outs.
Basically, they play down to the level of their completion just to let them off the hook at the end…now Hall suddenly developed a “sore knee” during a bye week? What happened to getting rest? You can’t make this stuff up.

That last play was pretty incredible, was watching it live and I was dumbfounded. I have KC defence so I was happy enough, but wow, what a disaster for LV.
Now we can add Seattle in week 13. Home after a bye week. Seattle has to travel across the country for a 1pm game…had them on the ropes early, then negated everything positive in the second half. Even had the ball with under 2 minutes for the win and blew it. This season has been one big dry heave…
