Chu Fantasy Football

Well, we got #1 and #2 going at it for the championship next week. I am just as pumped for it as I am about the real games. Congratulations to all of you. I had a hell of a lot of fun this season and I hope y’all did too. Also, I hope we can continue this tradition in years to come. Good luck to the rest of us in the consolation brackets! Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

I enjoyed it as well. Although it reminded me how frustrating fantasy football can be. When my son was born I left all my fantasy leagues and my friends have been begging me to come back every year. Had to keep this league a secret

This.

Made the playoffs and gave myself a shot. But my team just sputtered towards the end. Definitely were 3 teams this year and everybody else! I did I have though, and actually started to get familiar with the league players again. Except for old geezers like Aaron Rodgers they were all new faces to me! I’ll be that much more prepared next year!

I had fun. Sadly I got massively distracted about 6 weeks ago and stopped setting my lineups.

@Anthony as our benevolent overlord, does the winner still get your Amazing Fantasy #15 signed by Stan Lee as the championship trophy, or does the winner receive your cgc 4.5 copy of Turok #1?

Yeah D-Bone, one thing I noticed about playing fantasy is that it makes watching the games much more fun.

Will be honest I had something extra special in mind but with my father in law being sick and my wife moving in to her parents to take care of him (and his passing), and me being a single dad for six weeks, I fell behind on it. It wasn’t going to be an AF 15 signed unless I won but I promise a prize at CHU’s expense all the same. Just will need the name and address of the winner when this is all said and done and allow six to eight weeks shipping for me.

Will be the first annual Chu-bardi trophy.

@Anthony Really sorry to hear about the family health problems, buddy. I hope you guys have a good Christmas, at least. Best wishes and Merry Christmas, buddy.

And I love that name—the CHUbardi trophy!

Thanks, we are good but it has been a lot. Sometimes passing is a blessing. He decided at 81 and after being on dialysis for 5 years he just didn’t want to do it any more and was ready. Usually a person lasts a few days to two weeks. They say it is a peaceful passing. However, it didn’t work that way for him. He wanted to pass but couldn’t and lasted 6 and a half weeks. He asked us if they had a drive through or walk up service at the funeral home and said on a daily basis he didn’t know it would be so hard to die, he thought it would be an easy process. He ended up passing last friday. Got up, had breakfast in his chair, turned to his wife and said her name and passed. It sounds odd to say that it seemed so sudden, but it did not go the way they said it would go.

Sorry for your loss!

Thanks guys but as weird as it sounds it is ok. He was 81. He had multiple hip, knee, and shoulder replacements from playing football. He lived a good life, had three daughters who are all in their late 40’s to early 50’s. Had 7 grandchildren three of which are in college and one who has graduated. He lived a good life and was just tired of the pain. He was ready. Death is always harder on the ones left behind. It wasn’t a tragic sudden death. It was a planned (somewhat) ending of his life. Not a bad way to go. We should all be so lucky.

Not official yet, but the results are pretty Much locked.

But while we wait the official announcement, let’s ponder the question…with Philly locked into the #2 seed, should Barkley go for Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record that has stood for 40 years (2105 yds). He’s 106
Short (2005) and has the woeful Giants on deck in the last game next week.

Dickerson is not shy about how he feels about the potential of being #2.

as a Giants Fan who loved Barkely, he should break the record against them for making the mistake of letting him go. And he hit 2000 in 15 games granted he does get another 2 games to break it. Surely much harder back in the day.

Amaxzing what even a decent OL can do for a great RB.
A decent OL is not something the Giants have had for more years than I can remember.
It’s a jail break every down

seriously, they had the centerpiece for the team in Barkley, yet paid with guy who played at Duke.

then they go and blow the 1st pick :man_facepalming:t2:

Good question, D-Bone. They should let him go for it, but you know they’ll want to rest their starters. I hope they give him a chance just out the spirit of competition.

I wouldn’t doubt if the couch asks him what he wants to do…that’s just a record that is bigger than one game, and he’ll want to go for it. I think the team would want to go for it too…

Now if Philly hadn’t won a Super Bowl in 40’yeaes…then it’d be a different situation…but I think you have to go for it, because that opportunity may never present itself again.
