Comic Investing/Speculating During A Recession

I am going to start doing Comic book “you are the father” videos like Maury. Surprise Wolverine with all his kids on the first episode.

No more flame emojis?
No more “bringing the heat”?
No more “that cover is dope”?
No more “that cover is sick”?
No more pictures with the thumb & pinky thinking that means something cool?
No more black baseball caps?
No more…etc, etc, etc

There may truly be a heaven on earth if these all disappear.

Do you know how many people use the words sick and dope? This is so petty it makes me laugh. People younger than you exist. Imagine not wanting younger generations to get into comics. That is what you’re saying.

Gatekeepers. So. Many. Gatekeepers.

Lighten up Francis

I think he isn’t talking about the younger generation doing it as much as fat middle aged YouTube people. The same people whose thumb nails always have the surprised facial expression.

Does a “Dripper” = a “Banger”?

The rally is now confirmed with all equity markets now breaking the one-year downward trend line.

Get ready for comics to bounce back.

This is the 1-week chart. Major test coming at 13,000.

I absolutely know very little about the markets and all that…what I do know is that the middle class folk like me in the Midwest are still paying $5 for a dozen eggs and are receiving the highest energy bills we’ve ever seen in years.

Maybe the rich folk will be doing better because of all those charts, graphs and wall street articles…but the average Jills and Joes I talk with are hurting.

Average Jill’s and Joe’s are about to get major raises.

Aint nobody getting raises. The economy is in a downward spiral…

Walmart minimum wage jumps to at least $14 an hour for employees (usatoday.com)

“Walmart will raise its minimum hourly wage for employees at its U.S. stores beginning next month, the company said Tuesday. Store employee starting pay will be between $14 and $19 per hour beginning in early March, Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield told USA TODAY in an email. Those wages are up from $12 to $18 per hour , she said.”

The largest employer in the US begs to differ.

I work for the Fed and also the military…raises come once a year and didn’t match inflation.

You gave an example of a Walmart worker making a dollar more an hour? Is that supposed to be some sort of incredible achievement? That dollar or two an hour doesn’t come close to matching the increases associated with daily living. That wouldn’t even tough the property tax increases I’ve seen, much less food, gas, energy, insurance rates, health care rates, etc, etc.

Next thing you’re gonna talk about the California bill mandate that fast food workers make $22/hour…

Technically $12 to $14 is a 16% raise.

But $18 to $19 is just 5%.

Inflation was 6.5% last year?

$2 an hour. Which is a 17% increase.

Job openings jumped unexpectedly to 11 million in December - WICZ

Demand for labor is rising, not falling. Wages will rise right along with it.

I think that’s terrible policy actually. Let the market work and it will resolve itself.
