Comic Investing/Speculating During A Recession

Just look for writers / artists you like, search them on Kickstarter, and then just pick the ones you feel you want to back. Then you pick your level you want to purchase to get whatever incentives they are offering. It’s pretty easy

Just be careful I’m sure you can lose yourself backing all sorts of projects and forget how much you are spending!

Original Art is a whole other beast. Great job in that niche :+1:

Had no idea that PSA graded sketches.

This piece is very cool for a TMNT fan Peter Laird 1985 sketch.

Price seemed not bad just based off no data just gut feeling

What good is advertising if no one buys your
Gas?

Maybe they don’t even have gas, and just a convenience store…

reporters were there a few days ago asking people why they were buying the gas for that price, most people had the same answer, (i didnt look at the price, i just needed gas)

His father is Mark Wilson. I haven’t watched this video yet so I know nothing about Wilson.

Thanks! And yes, the price on that turtle sketch seems a little off from the market.

what a mess our country is.

every one is trying to sell what they have. I see tons of FB posts of books for outrageous prices.

It’s starting to look that way across hobbies. People trying to offload things for “market price” that they probably shouldn’t have bought in the first place. Just to pay bills.

The writing is on the wall. Recession by the end of the year.

Makes no sense to sell your comics when there is no demand. If you cant pay your bills, you shouldnt have bought comics.

We’re already in a recession. We’re in stagflation to be more specific.

50% of the American population has already lost most of their discretionary income to inflation. That percentage will continue to rise until energy prices come down.

It’s getting scary because what exactly are they doing to lower energy prices? Nothing…

Inflation will not subside until they do.

damn straight it is. absolutely nothing. energy, rent prices, food, common necessities, etc. we been climbing up hills for decades, but now they’ve turned into mountains.

it’s still mind-boggling to know corporations pay next to nothing in taxes.

Every grocery store I go to is trying to sell expired goods and rotten fruit/vegetables. They don’t want to show empty shelves. It seems that the employees are told not to remove them either. I was forced to buy frozen veggies this week.

its not limited to usa, whole world is getting hit

All due to the price of energy. So what fixes that? More production…

If you think it’s bad now just wait till we get a hurricane in the Gulf.

America, land of the “buy now, pay later”… Most Americans can’t afford a $1,000 emergency and the average debt (not counting cars or mortgage, like true credit card debt, buying shit you don’t need) is around 8k per household average.

See my last comment… most Americans don’t know how to manage their money. It’s all about buying shit you don’t need and just want, when you can’t really afford it in the first place.
