Why does he have to insist on sending these emails with his mugshot on them? I don’t know what’s worse… no new comics for a while or looking at his fugly face!

so what will we do for the next 4 weeks?
Well, after this week I go back to work, working from home. I got enough unread comics that I can literally last a few months likely in the reading department.
And my post streak on the main site will likely now end, which isn’t all bad. I have up until Wednesday posts scheduled so that’ll put me at 296 days straight. I need a break anyways.

From diamond yea. But there is a chNce that publishers will start shipping directly once the they can. I want to be hopefull and use this tine to build up my reserves. The wild west of online retailing holds alot of potential.
You have to get to 300. Won’t a strange number like 296 just eat away at you?
maybe they will, but canada’s borders are closed, as are mexico’s…printing in the US isn’t as cheap…and the logistics of it aren’t pretty if you’re trying to get something set up short notice (especially with emphasis being placed on essential workers/business only in many places…with possibly more to come). some of the smaller publishers (particularly the ones with experience in running successful kickstarters or indiegogo campaigns) might be able to handle it…but marvel/dc probably not.
The US Canada border is closed to everyday travelers, I do not believe it is closed to commerce.

One of my LCS’ cancelled this week’s delivery. The shop keep said he still had 80% of his books left over from last week, so, he made the financial decision to not supply anymore books. I know he made the right decision, especially seeing as my provincial government mandated all non essential business’ close tonight at midnight.
Nah… Maybe I’ll just create articles that are… “This is article and day 297, just for you Drog” 
Hey, whatever gets you to that magical number…many of the best records at the tail end are the player limping around taking brutal hits or woefully underperforming just because no coach wants to be the one makes the call to end the streak.
Heh… well, with retailers being told to keep putting in their orders for comics. We’ll continue to have things to write about. Diamond might not be shipping books for the next few weeks and a lot of cities and states are doing in-shelter orders so shops are closed until lifted but here at CHU, we’ll keep on chugging away with our normal articles, links to pre-orders… and our picks. I just see Tuesdays being a little less noisy each week until we start getting books shipped out…
Most of my own pre-orders now are shipped monthly to save on shipping cost (so diamond not shipping for a few is just like an extension before I see the books I pre-ordered). Sure this method doesn’t help those flipping books but you know, if you buy to just flip, well, take a month off and read some of them instead or maybe start collecting stamps.
Yes, as @agentpoyo observes, things aren’t canceled to be re-solicited, necessarily. They are just delayed. I will still be placing my order with my shops from the new issue of Previews that just came out, but will expect most/all of those books are delayed to a degree, and some will be canceled and solicited again too, of course.
Anyone getting some good deals out there? I’m working a totally different shift to help with social distancing at work…caused me to miss a few graded books on eBay that sold for 50-75% of what their fmv has been the past year…ugh. I’d kick myself if I wasn’t so tired from the sleep schedule adjustment…
Things here in San Diego have gotten a little crazy over the past days. We now have 200+ cases with 2 babies being infected with the virus. The parks are closed and the beaches are closed. I have only worked one day this week and it was for 4 hrs. The company that gives us 90% of our work closed last week as their distributors in Michigan closed down the factory till further notice. We had couple of big projects that got pushed back till late May early June. My boys both will start school from home next week using Zoom and from what the school district has sent us, this is how they will finish the school year. I started to list some of my comics and other collectables to have some kind of income since I’m still trying to get back on my feet from losing my job last year and don’t have much $ saved as I was living pay check to pay check and maxed out my credit cards. Waiting for tax money to come and hopefully this new law gives us little extra money to pay the bills. It has gotten a little stressful, but we have food and water and my boys and wife are in good health.
The good thing is I sold my copy of Spawn 299 SDCC for $180, sold bounty hunters 1:50 for $80, sold 3 copies of the secret variant for spider woman at $17 each. So far so good.

Sorry to hear abut the rough time Gbess, I know you will pull through. Yeah things are crazy out there now. Hearing that New Orleans is the next NYC. This isnt going away anytime soon

Probably just add it on to the National Debt. If it had to be paid later by the decree of any President or political party and people were told, “Pay it back now,” that would be a shitshow.
Gets added to national debt which gets paid by us, the Tax payers, in the end.
Best thing abut this: the Democrats are going to introduce another one here shortly. Nancy dosnt want to be outdone by the Republicans. I see it coming sometime at the end of April, beginning of May.
