We’ve all been convinced that a certain book would skyrocket in price, only for it to fade into obscurity. It happens.
Now, we all know dead spec is only dead until it isn’t, but let’s see those dead spec books still taking up space in your collection out of hope that some day they’ll rise from the ashes and make us rich.
I’ll start. Oh, Tosin. We hardly knew ya. This guy was destined to become the new Black Panther and have 39 MCU appearances. Yeah, but no. I have a couple raw copies, and thankfully, this one was my submission that I bought for cover price. So, all in, I’m probably under $40. But, I don’t think I’m getting that money back.
I think Strange Academy and High Republic still has legs. Like in 5-10 years from now. …thing is once a collected works comes out single issues drop in price.
With Aphra still kicking around in post-RoTJ comics, I think it’s only a matter of time before she shows up on screen. But, then again, we’ve all been saying that for what feels like forever.
I used to get excited about stumbling, “Secret Invasion,” comics and the tie-ins to flip. The show was considered among the worst MCU projects and sunk those comics to the bottom of the ocean.
These hurt lol…On a positive note… didn’t pay more than cover…only held onto a 9.8 of each, and sold the others at the right time.
I actually still like these comics though so I don’t mind having them. Vengeance was a crazy price there for a bit. I believe I got $900 for a 9.8.
