I hate to say this but that is completely false. Comic Tom does get something in return for the codes to get people to sign up for Key Collector. He doesnāt do itā¦ āout of the goodness of his heartāā¦ Trust me, heās getting something in return. You donāt think CHU doesnāt get approached for the same deals around the interwebs right?
Jimcomics says he gets nothing, I wouldnāt what to accuse him of being a liar, so I accept his explanationā¦if he gets a bit of free stuff without asking of course, for his effortā¦so be itā¦

Yeah I beleive Jim in his latest video he states that he feels IF you get paid you cant be arbitrary. He mentions the app in the same way we do it highlights OLDER issues and things in your own collection you may not remember. For NEW items issues etc they take his advice. Economics views. The ryancomicguy. Infamousjeb etc. They(key collector) follow a few real comic heads that they get info from that dont promote them or the app. Jim doesnāt sell books or anything so him getting a code to share to his viewers is for those who may want to use the app how they see fit.
Jim might be an exception but my original post was towards Comic Tom. If he claims he doesnāt get any kickbacks for giving out Key Collector codes to refer people, heās full of shit.

To an extent perhaps but if Jim only does Youtube videos, the only cost he has is time and resources spent on creating his youtube videos (Iām not sure if he does anything beyond that).
CHU has advertising and we do affiliate links from the site. So theoretically yes, CHU gets paid but a large portion of the revenue is to pay for the site, hosting costs, etc. Are we not arbitrary? I believe we are.

The comment was made that you canāt trust what tom says because he promotes different companies and thus says good things no matter what about them.
My point was pretty much all YouTube channels, paid or not, promote other companies and services.
Jim promotes Key Collector. Paid or not, I donāt know. But pretty much every video he talks about how great they are and gives his code for 1 week free and puts their logo on the screen. This week his giveaway phrase was even a reference to Nick who runs Key Coll.
I promote Comics Heating Up they donāt pay me they have me chained to the toilet please help.

No, Iām not missing any points, I mearly commented on Jim not Tom, I agree Tom gets compensation, heās a former trader and a business man, you expect him not to get something for what he does, I have watched him for a few years, I like what he does, heās excited, energetic and has been a source of good infoā¦and so is Jim
tom put out a video today claiming his store got broken into and says nothing was stolen, than asks for donations via tshirt sale to raise money for him. which feels very scammy he admits nothing was stolen and any damage would be covered under his insurance.
I would imagine you would have some cameras in 2020 on your shop.

Sorry, I usually donāt go out of my way to make fun of people but this Comic Tom just makes it so easy. Itās like he paints a huge target on his own backā¦ I mean, watching him in his videosā¦ how could anyone truly take this guy seriously?
