Send a $30 offer. Maybe he’ll accept that ![]()
Some people are just a-holes
Probably meant $20 shipped. People don’t communicate well.
The other thing that could have happened is people fish for a deal and take the first one that bites. You may have been to late to the punch.
Why can’t I use my EBay funds to pay for stupid books shipping from Canada?
Eh?
Weird.
Annoying more than weird. What, eBay can’t calculate the exchange rate, so it puts the burden on a credit card or PayPal?
This is funny… I feel the same about you getting confused with the simple math involved when it comes to the different time zones… ![]()
Looks like my book has finally been delivered.
Unfortunately I live on the east coast (CT)…
Apparently it got returned the first time because the
Label was for 3oz….and a slab is closer to 2 lbs…
Epic failures…
Ugh…
That is really bad, three ounces? Really trying to get over on the USPS.
Request a refund and move on, sadly
The seller seems to specialize in cards…so I think the just messed up the listing.
But what the hell was he/She smoking when shipping was purchased? Should have realized a 2lbs package costs more than $3 to ship…
eBay account goes back to 2019, but not much feedback recently. All positive.
Now they have only one listing…getting weird vibes
Here.
By the time the slab gets shipped back to the owner, and they ship it to me, they will have spent more in shipping than I paid for it.
I am still waiting on a buyer who got an invincible book from me on August 21, did a return request, then left me positive feedback, after I approved the return request, to actually send me the book back. This is crazy. eBay giving 21 days for a return.
The thing that gets me is this wording.
They “may” close the return down. Now $80 may not be a lot to them, sure as hell is to me.
I think “may” just means there could be extenuating circumstances that drag this out at the request of the buyer or seller…such as the item is still in transit or lost. It may not be automatic, but you may have to reach out and request it to be closed if there has been no progress.
I hate that eBay gives people nearly almost a month to return an item after they have opened up a return. It is quite an annoyance.
And I have three days to ship it to them (most of the time I ship same or next day)
And he shipped it today. Waited 15 of the 21 days to ship the damn book. I swear to god I am going to pour over the book to make sure it’s the same one.
Wow. You have to think that’s intentional…waiting until the last few days, out of spite….
I had the same thin happen to me once. The buyer waited until the last day to return. I think they are playing games and they think that by holding out longer maybe you will give them a huge discount or even tell them to keep the item. It sucks that people game the system and mess it up for others.
You should claim that he trimmed the book before retuning it…
I don’t usually offer discounts and the book is worth too much to just give away. I know the book wasn’t trimmed. I am interested to see what he returns and will hold the funds from being returned for as long as possible.
