eBay Headaches

More a head scratcher than a headache…sold a set of Civil War 1-7, buyer receives it today and messages me saying everything is great except 4 out of 7 books are damaged because of my poor packaging and sends a poorly cropped pic of the supposed damaged books, none of the packaging, no request for refund or anything, just “letting me know”…not saying he was full of shit but the way I package and stack the books they would ALL had to have been damaged; I responded sorry the post office managed to damage them but they must be magicians to be able to get through a bubble mailer that has been put inside another bubble mailer while sandwiched between cardboard and then make the indentations on just those four issues and not the other 3…no response but buyer left neutral feedback with a different picture of “proof” and a mini rant…why? Just why? Lmao

Interesting.

The USPS works in mysterious ways…

What does this person considered “damaged?” A spine tick?

Some people were just born to complain about everything…

It’s a half assed complaint too. Passive aggressive.

“Just letting you know…”

So you know why I left you neutral feedback…

The picture did show four books that had denting/damage as if they had been dropped or had something dropped on them but again one picture showing four corners, no picture of the beat up packaging or even of the 3 books that weren’t damaged. I also stack books bagged/boarded and cover to cover so if 4 had bottom right damage then the other three would have had bottom left damage not been magically unharmed. Spidey sense told me it was a scammer trying to pass his beat up copies off as the ones he purchased from me; it’s happened other times unfortunately.

The best way to combat scammers is lots of picture and go to the @agentpoyo school of packing comics.

Maybe this is a one off for me but I just printed three shipping labels for the same order and they were all rejected by USPS. has along experience this issue?

■■■■ yeah… I’m the best!

What was one label not good enough?

And what do you mean by “rejected?”

  • Not able to be scanned
  • The clerk said “F-off, hoser!”
  • returned to sender

I need more here. But no, I’ve not had that happen…but I also print one label per order though.

I also only print one label for each order, however in this case the label did not scan at USPS.

USPS asked me to create a separate new label but each time it failed.

Sounds like you need to trouble shoot. Trial and error.

Could it be their scanner or computer? Can you take it to a different PO?

Is it your printer? Have you printed another label since for a different order?

Is it something you did? Did you choose a different setting…maybe shrunk the label so it cannot read the bars (too close?).

no changes to printer setting, only seems to be happening for this order, which is strange.

nevertheless they manually keyed in the tracking number but most likely will not have tracking to the final destination.

Put this wonderful human on your block list.

Seems like it’s someone who just buys things, go disputes them all hoping the retailer or sellers don’t take action so then they get their money back for free stuff…

Isn’t Zap Comics an LCS in the NY/NJ area?

Yes. They’ve been at NYCC every year I have been.

Not sure this is the same zap comics. For
One, they have 2 p’s in the name.

I do love me the block list on eBay. Buyers who never pay, the ones who change their mind 30 seconds after paying, all the scammers, I don’t have the patience or energy to deal with them more than once so blocked you get.

Speaking of which

Here’s another one for you to block. Requested cancellation. Lasted 19 minutes.
