When Iāve dealt with a return/partial refund, I generally block them. Just donāt want to risk having to deal with selling them anything else that could be an issue. Not always, but often.

Yeah my very first refund years ago was a ādidnāt meet my collecting standardsā as VF/NM, I took the return, relisted it the same price, when it sold the next buyer says condition was better than expected

I block people just for sending me dumb messages or low ball offers. I have zero tolerance for stupid people and their possible shenanigans, This is a hobby, not a job, for me. Sometimes Iād rather not sell something than sell it to a potential problem. Iāll take my chances that someone else will eventually buy it. And, yes, I have a very long block list, lol.

Book is listed as a NM/MT 9.8. A LOT of their books have that grade.
Canāt be bothered to show the back. Does not accept returns. Im sure if I disagree and show evidence itās not a 9.8 theyāll throw the āgrading is subjectiveā argumentā¦which would completely counter their reason for not showing the back. A mess waiting to happen.
I feel like ordering it just to gage their grading skills (book is under $10).
Edit: I asked the question as a hypothetical āwhat if I donāt agree with your grading of this book?ā
Iām sure Iāll get a snarky remark and perhaps blocked. But I feel itās a fair question to ask.

I too have had thousands of sales with few complaints but Iām also not too lazy to take one photo of the back of a book. Remind me to avoid that seller haha.

Sometimes I successfully sell a book at a higher price than another seller (or several sellers), and often I suspect itās because I pictured the back if they did not.
In the sellers defense, he wasnāt rude about it.
And heās willing to stand by his grading being 9.8, then maybe Iāll put his skill to the test.
But if youāre going to rely 100% on your grading skills, why even show an actual photo. Post a file photo.
Otherwise front and back. It takes 10 seconds, if that. You had to have the comic out of the bag and flip through it to call it a 9.8. So take another photo!

So I thought the rate was around 0.74. But ebay international shipping says itās 0.70.
The rate hasnāt been that low since May of 2021.
Update: apparently eBay takes 3%ā¦even though my credit card I use doesnāt charge me a conversion fee.

I sell so I have no choice but to accept their fees suck but Iāve never understood how theyāre allowed a cut off the shipping and sales tax too. My laziness for not looking it up as itās gotta be in their fine print somewhere so itās ālegalā or they surely wouldāve been sued by now.

It is their playground. We have to abide by their rules. Doesnāt make it right. Doesnāt mean we have to like it. But we sell on there so have to abide by their rules. I am gonna start listing more on Mercari. Itās been a little dead lately on there.

I use a Wise account linked to Ebay, so Iām always paying USD for USD, to avoid all the unnecessary FX spread fees, transaction fees, etc.
