eBay Headaches

I have one package from 11/30 that never found me and one that I sent in early December that never found its recipient. What a mess that holiday shipping season was.

I have packages shipped this week that got to the buyers before ones I shipped at the end of December. Thankfully all my packages are working out and so far no issues.

I luckily didn’t sell much around the holidays so I avoided that headache. I did have a lot of incoming stuff delayed but no more than two weeks max.

An eBay managed payments question (and frustration).

Is there no place to get a total of how much has been processed but not yet paid out? Or is the only option for you to add the total up yourself from their summary link?

And has anyone noticed the links in the pull down menu under payments all lead to the same place (transactions)? What’s the point in that?

This was another reason I’m not switching. eBay’s interface sucks, is inconsistent across the board and not user friendly. Most of the time to change a preference I have to google what I’m looking for just to find the magic route to the setting…

Not sure what you mean. All those links go to something different for me. All transactions goes to all sales and payouts. Payouts shows me just payouts. Reports takes me to where I can generate a report based on dates I put in and Payout Settings takes me to the page where I can change add or delete my bank account/debit card info and change my payout schedule to daily or weekly. Summary should have your Available funds which would be payments processed and ready to pay out as well as anything on hold due to disputes and your amount not processed yet

Their interface is definitely a clusterfudge of nonsensical crapola. Had to spend like 15 minutes clicking on stuff in setting to figure out where to change my paypal info so it would stop taking money from my regular checking account for shipping charges and start taking it from my new account specifically for ebay. Changing it on paypal alone did nothing. I even switched my preferred payment option on paypal to be the new ebay checking account but because who the hell knows you would have to change that within ebay they just kept taking it from my personal account. Got it fixed now but it sure was annoying to do

Is this what you’re talking about?

If so it’s under my eBay/Payment Options. There’s more on the screen but it had my cards and bank account info so I cropped it.

The interface is fine. To change the shipping payment option, you do it at the time you purchase the shipping label, at the bottom of the screen.

Well ok no I am insulted that you think i’m an idiot lol I know what you are talking about. You can select paypal or pending funds but no that did not change the account it was coming from on Paypal. I had to go to account settings and my account and personal information and basically unlink paypal and then link it again and select the account on Paypal I wanted them to take money from. Ebay was defaulting it to my regular checking account through paypal because thats what I originally selected when it was initially set up however many years ago.

I don’t know how you’re getting that. I’ve clicked every pull down menu and button and I do not get to an account summary. Everything under the payments pull down menus sends me to transactions.

Summary sends me to…

… “Payment Options > Transactions”

Payouts sends me to…

… “Payment Options > Transactions”

Reports sends me to…

Payout settings sends me to…

Does this happen to anyone else in Seller Hub? I just need a sanity check here because it’s driving me insane. If others are selecting these same items in the pull down under “payments” and it’s sending them somewhere different, then I likely have to call eBay customer support.

It seems very odd to me that the 5 options in the pull down send one to the exact same place…what’s the point in having a pull down in that case? Feels like there’s a glitch and would like to confirm if that is the case if someone can help me out.

Thanks.

It’s gotta be you. Mine works fine. All the menu options take me to what they say they are lol

Ok so I was just trying to go to payments on my iPad and it just goes to transactions. Everything under payments goes to transactions. Maddening. Lol

Works fine on my PC so this must be a weird mobile bug issue

Buyers on eBay. How long do you typically wait for responses to inquiries that you send to sellers, after already purchasing an item?

Without mentioning the seller’s name yet - placed multiple pre-orders from a legit seller and have yet to receive any of them.

First order placed in October should have been received by now. Seller lacks basic customer service etiquette and cannot respond to simple messages.

A check on the few instances of negative/neutral feedback that this seller has received over time shows childish, classless responses to each - what a jerk. Reading the sellers responses to negative feedback makes me want to avoid giving him any more of my money - ever again. Problem is, I have several hundred dollars locked up with him at this time as I am still awaiting the items that I paid for.

On the flipside, he has a lot of good feedback too - many that refer to his “excellent communication” - lol, what?

Frustrated… been over 24 hours and no response. All I’m looking for is an update on the status of my earliest order… Am I being unreasonable? I’ve sent a single message… One… Only.

Thoughts?

Well, there was a three day weekend form many so maybe he out of the office so to speak. Give it another day.

That’s fair - thanks.

Are these pre-orders and are the CGC pre-orders?

lol, yes - CGC pre orders… so the list of suspects (sellers) has shrunk dramatically now…

I’m not trying to put anyone on blast undeservedly … I understand that we just got through the holiday season - that said, it’s been 11 weeks since the book on my order was released, so thought it was in my right to send a message to the seller at this time to get some sort of ETA.

24 hours not counting weekends or holidays.

If you can’t respond within 24 hours to a customer, then you shouldn’t be selling stuff. That’s my stance. After 24 hours is when I get 3rd parties involved to help assist with the issue(s).
