I put him on blast on Twitter and he blocked me. Before he blocked me he said books are shipped out when they are returned from CGC. I have sent no less than 5 messages without a response. He sent all books I preordered except for the Thor 5 which was the book that heated up. He also sold several after the fact for a much larger profit. They are very shady and the customer service is almost non-existent.
As @Ybeezy said Also - kind of suspect that this guy has positive reviews for CGC pre orders when the ability to leave feedback expires well before any CGC pre-orders would ever end up in the customers hand.
Good luck to anyone that pre-ordered āhotā books from them.
NEVER ORDER ANYTHING ON EBAY THAT IS A PRE-ORDER THAT IS BEYOND 30 DAYS OF RELEASE OR AVAILABILITY!
Just save yourself the potential headachesā¦ Instead of āBuy It Nowā clicksā¦ click the āReport Itemā and they have an actual category and specific drop down thatās for the 30 day pre-sells.
As @agentpoyo said I have learned a valuable lesson about pre-ordering anything from eBay. I still canāt believe this is how anyone would choose to run their business smh.
I live in Asheville and go to every shop but this one because of reasons like this. Iāve run into some of their regular customers that complain about not getting the stuff they order in store and also they cherry pick all the 9.8 books so they can get them graded. They also donāt abide by release dates which hurts the other shops in town.
I had to do this to Hudsoncomic.com for my Thor 5 way back. Blasted him on FB and poos refunded 2hrs later. That public shame/humiliation will humble these guys quickly.
Sure, so when DC dropped Diamond and went to Midtown or UCS (whatever it was called) the books starting coming on Saturdays or Sundays for the upcoming weeks books. Asheville comics started putting them out as soon as they got them instead of waiting until release day. I donāt know if they still have it up or not but their Facebook showed their huge Three Jokers 1 display that they had up and were selling that Saturday before release dayā¦
The shop I go to used to sell out of Death Metal every week until Asheville comics started putting everything out early. This was always DC stuff because the Diamond stuff still didnāt come in until Tuesdayās.
No dude - itās even worse than that. @JAndreu got the shipment - it was for multiple books, however the Thor #5 was missing and he was never refunded for this missing āhotā slab until today. His messages and requests for a refund were flat out ignored.
He later saw that the seller was moving this hot slab on eBay for 5x the price that he, the customer that never received the slab, had paid for it.
I told my LCS they should report them but they didnāt. I donāt know who I would even report them to. I also feel like if they people whose business is affected by it canāt be bothered to report them why should I.
I also donāt care that much because it doesnāt impact me directly. I think I just shows another thing in a chain of shady business practices so people on here should use caution when ordering from them.
Thisā¦ for all I know, Anthony and others on here will receive what they ordered with no issues.
My issue was their lack of communication and then outright arrogance and lack of class when responding to customers that call them out. Like absolute 3rd-class trash. Just look at his responses to negative and neutral feedback on eBay - a complete @sshole.
I (donāt) give a damn about the slabs. This is why I pre-ordered the same slabs from multiple sources - just in case I had to deal with some shadiness like this.
I will rescind the negative feedback once I receive my first order - I believe he has plenty of time before that window closes. Someone ought to teach him a lesson. He was straight embarrassed when Jeremey called him out on twitter just look at his responses to Jās tweet, lol. Twitter isnāt the platform for customer service inquiries? Well hell, it wouldnāt have to be if your customer service via eBay was on point.
